英美概況

內(nèi)容概要

　　《英美概況（上下）》分上、下兩冊，上冊是《英國概況》，下冊是《美國概況》。每冊分五編：地理、歷史、文化、社會生活、政治制度與政黨。每編之首有中文提要，簡要介紹本編的主要內(nèi)容。每編分若干章，每章末尾有習(xí)題，習(xí)題分回答問題和解釋名詞兩種。中文提要與習(xí)題所涉及的內(nèi)容是讀者應(yīng)掌握的重點(diǎn)。書后有附錄。

《英美概況(上下)》在編寫過程中，我們參照了高等師范院?！队⒄Z專業(yè)英美概況教學(xué)大綱》，并對《大綱》內(nèi)容做了適當(dāng)?shù)恼{(diào)整和補(bǔ)充，使這套教材內(nèi)容更豐富，更具有廣泛的適應(yīng)性。在編寫過程中還注意到以下幾條原則：1.以事實(shí)為基礎(chǔ)，介紹有關(guān)背景知識，對重要事件、人物等以馬克思主義觀點(diǎn)進(jìn)行扼要的分析和評論。2.盡可能多地收入對英語學(xué)習(xí)有益的背景知識，并保證教學(xué)大綱所規(guī)定的重點(diǎn)。3.英文力求淺顯易懂，便于閱讀。4.編寫中文提要，編制表格和附錄，為讀者提供自學(xué)方便，使之“無師自通”。
