作者簡(jiǎn)介

　　胡曉鳳，湖南省長(zhǎng)沙市一中英語(yǔ)高級(jí)教師，長(zhǎng)沙市優(yōu)秀外語(yǔ)教師，高三研討會(huì)主講教師，湖南省中小學(xué)教師繼續(xù)教育課程資源建設(shè)專家，湖南有線電視家教平臺(tái)英語(yǔ)學(xué)科特聘主講教師。長(zhǎng)期致力于高中英語(yǔ)教學(xué)，教學(xué)教研成果顯著。連續(xù)五年擔(dān)任長(zhǎng)沙市一中高三英語(yǔ)教師，2008年所帶班學(xué)生有8人被清華、北大錄取，4人被美國(guó)各著名院校錄取，29人上600分，本科上線率100%。2010年，所帶理科班12人上清華、北大錄取線；2011年，所帶文科班學(xué)生獲湖南省“文科狀元”。曾撰寫(xiě)、發(fā)表論文、著作20余篇（部），多篇論文獲省、市級(jí)一等獎(jiǎng)，其中，論文《搭設(shè)寬廣的科技平臺(tái)錘煉搏擊長(zhǎng)空的雙翅——記長(zhǎng)沙市一中學(xué)生科技創(chuàng)新活動(dòng)》在亞太地區(qū)第三屆青年科技節(jié)上被中外專家鑒定為科技節(jié)論文評(píng)比二等獎(jiǎng)。

　　When you are little， the whole world feels like a big playground. I was living in Conyers， Georgiathe summer it all happened. I was a second grader， but my best friend Stephanie was only in the firstgrade. Both of our parents were at work and most of the time they let us go our own way. 　　It was a hot afternoon and we decided to have an adventure in Stephanie's basement. As I openedthe basement door， before us lay the biggest room， full of amazing things like guns， dolls， and old clothes. 　　I ran downstairs， and spotted a red steel can. It was paint. I looked beyond it and there lay even more paintin bright colors like purple， orange， blue and green. 　　"Stephanie， I just found us a project for the day. Get some paintbrushes. We are fixing to paint." Shescreamed with excitement as I told her of my secret plans and immediately we got to work. We gatheredall the brushes we could find and moved all of our materials to my yard. There on the road in front of myhouse， we painted big stripes （ 條紋 ） of colors across the pavement （人行道 ） . Stripe by stripe， ourcolors turned into a beautiful rainbow. It was fantastic! 　　The sun was starting to sink. I saw a car in the distance and jumped up as I recognized the car. Itwas my mother. I couldn't wait to show her my masterpiece. The car pulled slowly into the driveway andfrom the look on my mother's face， I could tell that I was in deep trouble. 　　My mother shut the car door and walked towards me. Her eyes glaring， she shouted，"What in the worldwere you thinking? I understood when you made castles out of leaves， and climbed the neighbors' trees， butthis! Come inside right now!" I stood there glaring back at her for a minute， angry because she had insulted （侮辱） my art. 　　"Now go clean it up!" Mother and I began cleaning the road. Tears ran down my cheeks as I sawmy beautiful rainbow turn into black cement. 　　Though years have now passed， I still wonder where my rainbow has gone. I wonder if， maybewhen I get older， I can find my rainbow and never have to brush it away.
