內(nèi)容概要

古人云：“熟讀唐詩三百首，不會作詩也會吟。”古人又云：“讀書破萬卷，下筆如有神。”英倫名仕弗朗西斯．培根爵士亦云：“Reading maketh a full man.”（讀書使人完美。）英語中更有格言，日：“Reading is to the mind what exercise to the body."（閱讀之于心靈，猶如運動之于身體。）    學(xué)習(xí)一門語言，閱讀和背誦是兩件很重要的事情。    閱讀可以使人明理，使人睿智。在閱讀的過程中，我們感知語言的美，感悟語境的美。通過閱讀，我們培養(yǎng)語感，積累素材；通過閱讀，我們體驗文化，訓(xùn)練思維。    背誦可以使人博古通今，使人雄辯。在背誦的過程中，我們體驗英語的用詞習(xí)慣，感受英語的行文習(xí)慣。通過背誦，我們鞏固詞匯，強(qiáng)化寫作；通過背誦，我們提升思維，拓展自我。    為了給高中學(xué)生的英語學(xué)習(xí)提供閱讀和背誦的材料，經(jīng)過一年多的籌備，組織來自杭州外國語學(xué)校等一批名校的中學(xué)特級、高級教師和優(yōu)秀的中學(xué)一級教師，編寫了《英語經(jīng)典美文誦讀》（高一年級、高二年級）。    本書選材時充分考慮了《高中英語課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)》的要求和現(xiàn)行人教版英語教材的語法、詞匯及話題。所選文章題材新穎、體裁廣泛、循序漸進(jìn)、難易適當(dāng)、語言優(yōu)美、朗朗上口。    高一年級有Living Well、Time and Space、Science and Technology、Change、Experience和Faith and Confidence等六個話題共六十篇，高二年級有Art、Education、Nature、Peace、 Success和Wisdom等六個話題共六十篇。其中，每篇文章對生詞均有注釋（音標(biāo)、詞性、英漢雙語解釋），重點突出優(yōu)美的句子，還有對文章的鑒賞（多數(shù)文章從內(nèi)容和寫作兩方面分析）。
