　　The ship was swaying violently which made our way along the gangways rather dif-ficult， and I felt unsteady on my feet. There were few people in the mess： many had lost allappetite， but the four of us sharing a cabin managed to get there and eat breakfast.　　The escort missions started coming thick and fast. At 06：10 and then at 11：00，Haikou and Wuhan began the third and fourth missions， sailing respectively from Bab el Mandeb Strait and the eastern Gulf of Aden. This is the first time Wuhan and Haikou have carried out independent escort ops and sailed in opposite directions. Haikou is scheduled to reach her destination on the night of January 16 and Wuhan to reach hers on the morning of January 17. The escorting distance is about sso sea miles.　　This time the three vessels to be escorted are all from Hong Kong. Haikou will es-cort Maersky Evan， sailing abreast ofher; Wuhan will escort Zhiqiang and Thor Svendborg in a single column formation. Apparently the crew of Maersky Evan come from China，UK， Sri Lanka， Romania， Poland and the Philippines. It is the ship with the largest num-ber of nationalities we've escorted so far.　　……
