英語(yǔ)專業(yè)考研名校全真試卷

內(nèi)容概要

　　談到大學(xué)本科的外語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)，人們總會(huì)提起聽、說(shuō)、讀、寫、譯五項(xiàng)技能。在大學(xué)高年級(jí)階段，我們不能把上述五項(xiàng)技能的學(xué)習(xí)和提高單一來(lái)看。譬如口語(yǔ)，你能讀懂口語(yǔ)教材，并不等于你會(huì)說(shuō)，更不等于你說(shuō)得流利、地道?？谡Z(yǔ)、閱讀與寫作有著密切的聯(lián)系，彼此可以相互促進(jìn)、提高。但是，口語(yǔ)好并不一定寫作很好，不等于你能用高質(zhì)量的書面語(yǔ)準(zhǔn)確地把自己的思想表達(dá)出來(lái)。知識(shí)不等于技能，不等于學(xué)習(xí)者擁有了熟練運(yùn)用的能力。再譬如，“譯"是五項(xiàng)技能中的重要一項(xiàng)，是綜合能力的體現(xiàn)。我們說(shuō)，學(xué)好外語(yǔ)是做好翻譯的一個(gè)必備的條件，但還不是一個(gè)充分的條件。要使自己成為一個(gè)稱職的翻譯，必須根據(jù)翻譯職業(yè)的理念和翻譯操作中固有的特點(diǎn)，長(zhǎng)期嚴(yán)格、刻苦地實(shí)踐，對(duì)各種技巧能夠嫻熟運(yùn)用，能夠發(fā)現(xiàn)問(wèn)題、獨(dú)立解決問(wèn)題。唯有如此，才有可能成為一個(gè)合格的翻譯工作者。

　　She was young， with a fair， calm face， whose lines bespoke repression and even a certain strength. But now there was a dull Stare in her eyes， whose gaze was fixed away off yonder on one of those patches of blue sky. It was not a glance of reflection， but rather indicated a suspension of intelligent thought.　　There was something coming to her and slae was waiting for it， fearfully. What was it? She did not know； it was too subtle and elusive to name. But she felt it， creeping out of the sky， reaching toward her through the sounds， the scents， the color that filled the air.　　Now her bosom rose and fell tumultuously. She was beginning to "recognize this thing that was approaching to possess her， and she was striving to beat it back with her will——as powerless as her two white slender hands would have been.　　When she abandoned herself a little whispered word escaped her slightly parted lips. She said it over and over under her breath： "Free， free， free！" The vacant stare and the look of terror that had followed it went from her eyes. They stayed keen and bright. Her pulses beat fast， and the coursing blood warmed and relaxed every inch of her body.　　She did not stop to ask if it were not a monstrous joy that held her. A clear and exalted perception enabled her to dismiss the suggestion as trivial.　　She knew that she would weep again when she saw the kind， tender hands folded in death; the face that had never looked save with love upon her， fixed and gray and dead. But she saw beyond that bitter moment a long procession of years to come that would belong to her absolutely. And she opened and spread her arms out to them in welcome.　　There would be no one to live for during those coming years; she wou　　d live for herself. There would be no powerful will bending her in that blind persistence with which men and women believe they have a fight to impose a private will upon a fellow-creature. A kind intention or a cruel intention made the act seem no less a crime as she looked upon it in that brief moment of illumination.
