前言

近年來隨著高教自考和成人本科畢業(yè)生的劇增，越來越多的考生參加到申請學士學位的英語考試中來。為了讓考生熟悉成入高等教育學士學位英語水平考試的特點，充分做好應試準備，我們組織了部分具有豐富應試指導經(jīng)驗和長期從事學士學位英語一線教學輔導的教師編寫了這本試題集，以便幫助考生在復習過程中，抓住復習的重點和難點，在較短時間內(nèi)盡快強化自己的英語能力，順利通過學士學位英語水平考試。本書嚴格按照《成人高等教育學士學位英語水平考試大綱（非英語專業(yè)）》提出的課程要求，并參照廣東省成人學士學位英語考試樣題，在概括了成人高等教育學士學位英語水平考試的重點之后，設計了12套模擬題。每套試題均配有詳盡、透徹、準確的解析，不僅便于考生自學自測，而且能夠幫助考生達到觸類旁通、舉一反三的學習效果，使考生在強化訓練的過程中，學習和掌握相關的解題策略，提高應試能力。本書在編寫過程中參考了部分國內(nèi)外有關資料，在此謹向有關作者表示衷心的感謝！另外，本書編輯在試題編寫過程中付出了大量艱辛的勞動，在此一并表示感謝！

內(nèi)容概要

　　《成人高等教育學士學位英語考試模擬試卷》嚴格按照《成人高等教育學士學位英語水平考試大綱（非英語專業(yè)）》提出的課程要求，并參照廣東省成人學士學位英語考試樣題，在概括了成人高等教育學士學位英語水平考試的重點之后，設計了12套模擬題。每套試題均配有詳盡、透徹、準確的解析，不僅便于考生自學自測，而且能夠幫助考生達到觸類旁通、舉一反三的學習效果，使考生在強化訓練的過程中，學習和掌握相關的解題策略，提高應試能力。

作者簡介

申玉杰，博士，1966年出生，1984年9月考入第一軍醫(yī)大學臨床醫(yī)學系，后獲武漢大學軟件工程碩士、南方醫(yī)科大學流行病與衛(wèi)生統(tǒng)計學博士，現(xiàn)任南方醫(yī)科大學繼續(xù)教育學院院長。申玉杰院長先后被推選為國家教育部本科評估專家、國家衛(wèi)生部醫(yī)學遠程教育制度的研究及機構準入評估專家、中華醫(yī)學會成人教育學組組長、中華醫(yī)學會醫(yī)學教育中青年專家、廣東省畢業(yè)后教育委員會委員等，參與國家及省里有關政策的起草和制訂、工作檢查、評審等工作，參加國家教育部、衛(wèi)生部及校內(nèi)有關教材的編寫工作。目前，承擔國家教育部、衛(wèi)生部，中國高等醫(yī)學教育學會，中華醫(yī)學會，廣東省教育廳、衛(wèi)生廳等省級以上科研課題9項，先后撰寫10余篇學術論文。唐偉勝，博士，教授。畢業(yè)于北京語言大學，獲文學博士學位。2006年9月一2008年8月受國家留學基金委資助在美國俄亥俄州立大學（Ohio State University）英語系訪學，成為該系的“敘事項目”（Project Narrative）研究成員之一?，F(xiàn)任南方醫(yī)科大學外國語學院英語語言文學教授，中國敘事學會會員。在《外國文學評論》、《文學理論前沿》等10余本刊物上發(fā)表學術論文40余篇，出版專著2部，譯著3部，編著1部。主持國家社會科學基金、教育部人文社會科學規(guī)劃項目、省級社會科學基金等各類科研項目6項，主研1項。2003年獲重慶市教育委員中青年教師資助項目，2004年獲重慶市首批“高校優(yōu)秀中青年骨干教師”榮譽稱號。唐偉勝教授在國內(nèi)知名大學及各頂級培訓機構從事英語教學和培訓研究工作近20年。培訓學員逾萬人，出版或編寫各類教學和培訓資料100余種，擁有豐富的英語教學和培訓經(jīng)驗，是“學術、激情、幽默”英語學習理念的積極倡導者和實踐者。

The basic flag of the United States is one of the world's oldest national flags. Only the basic of Austria，Denmark，Great Britain，the Netherlands，Sweden，and Switzerland are older.  During the discovery and settlement of what is now the United States，the flags of various European nations were flown over the land，as symbols of possession. Later, in the colonial and Revolutionary War periods，flags representing famous persons，places，and events were flown in the American Colonies.  The first official flag of the United States was created by Congress on June 14，1777.It consisted of 13 alternate red and white stripes and 13 white stars in a field of blue，representing the 13 colonies that had declared their independence in 1776.Congress adopted a new flag of 15 stars and 15 stripes in1795，to give representation to the two new states admitted into the Union，Vermont and Kentucky.  By 1817，there were 20 states in the Union，and it became apparent that adding one stripe for each new state would destroy the shape of the flag. As a result，Congress in 1818restored the original design of 13 stripes and provided that each state was to be represented by one star. In 1912 President William H. Taft made the first official provision for the arrangement of the stars. He ordered that there be six even（均等的）rows of eight stars each. Previously the arrangement of the stars had been left to the flag maker's desire. The evolution on the stars and stripes reflects the growth of the United States. Mterthe admission of Hawaii into the Union in 1 956，the flag was officially changed for the 26'h time sinceits creation. There are many government flags flown in the United States in addition to the national flag. Among them are the president's and vice-president's flag and those of the federal departments and some federal agencies.
