內(nèi)容概要

Tibetans make up almost 93% of the
population in Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Roughly 53% of the
5.2 million Tibetans in the country live in Tibet, but the rest
live mostly concentrated in Yunnan, Sichuan, Gansu and Qinghai
provinces. Six years of frequent visits and involvement with the
Tibetan communities of two of these provinces brought me certain
knowledge of those wonderful people. Through the stories of my two
Tibetan daughters, both from ordinary families, let's discover the
lives and culture, the harsh natural environment, the society,
school and work, the dreams and challenges of the Tibetans living
in Yunnan and in Qinghai.

作者簡(jiǎn)介

Lisa Carducci (Chinese name 李莎),born in
Canada, has been living in China since 1991, where she ended three
decades of a teaching career before working with CCTV and with
Beijing Review. She has travelled the whole country, especially
after her retirement in 2007 when she started writing the series
These Wonderful People of Xinjiang (also Ningxia, Guangxi, Inner
Mongolia). The writer's bibliography totals over 60 books and
thousands of articles in a range of languages.
