前言

親愛的女士們，我知道你們天生仁慈，但我卻不得不讓你們?cè)谖业臅镒x到一個(gè)痛苦、慘淡的開頭。它勾起了人們對(duì)不久前那場瘟疫中充滿死亡氣息的悲傷記憶。我這開頭的記載，對(duì)于那些剛剛親身經(jīng)歷或耳聞此事的人們，都是一件很不好受的事情。我知道你們肯定是不想在嘆息和淚水中閱讀．但是我還是希望這開頭的場景不會(huì)讓你們把書束之高閣。你們就把這苦澀的開頭當(dāng)成是遠(yuǎn)足者面前的崎嶇陡峭的大山吧。在這座大山的后面，可伸展著一片美麗可愛的廣闊平原呢。只有經(jīng)歷了艱難的跋涉才能更為深刻地體會(huì)到那醉人的甘甜。樂極固然生悲，悲苦到了盡頭。也會(huì)帶來幸福。我向你們承諾，這短暫的痛苦（我說短暫．是因?yàn)檫@些只占本書幾頁）很快就會(huì)被那甜美的喜悅所取代。這些如果不提前說出來的話，恐怕很少有人會(huì)想到在這樣的開頭之后，還有這么甜美的故事。說實(shí)話，如果我可以另取合適的道路．而不是這條崎嶇的小路來引領(lǐng)你們達(dá)到我所渴望的幸福的話．我將會(huì)十分樂意這樣做。但是如果沒有過去那些慘痛的記憶，我將很難對(duì)你們將要讀到的故事做出解釋。所以，好像是迫于形勢(shì)一樣，我必須寫出下面的文字。

薄伽丘一生寫過許多長詩和散文故事，其中以《十日談》成就最高，影響最大?！妒照劇贩从沉水?dāng)時(shí)意大利的廣闊現(xiàn)實(shí)社會(huì)，熱情歌頌青年男女沖破禁欲主義和封建束縛，反對(duì)等級(jí)特權(quán)，宣揚(yáng)人類平等，揭露貴族的腐朽和愚昧，抨擊僧侶的虛偽和荒謬?！妒照劇芬元?dú)特的“框架形結(jié)構(gòu)”，精煉、通俗、幽默的文筆，為歐洲近代短篇小說創(chuàng)作提供了范例。

作者簡介

作者：(意大利)喬萬尼·薄伽丘 (Boccaccio.G) 編譯：孫英梅 于偉喬萬尼·薄伽丘(Giovanni Boccaccio,1313-1375)是意大利藝文復(fù)興時(shí)期主要代表作家。人文主義者。代表作《十日談》批判宗教守舊思想，主張“幸福在人間”，被視為文藝復(fù)興的宣言。
