版權頁：   工業(yè)指從事自然資源的開采，對采掘品和農(nóng)產(chǎn)品進行加工和再加工的物質(zhì)生產(chǎn)部門。具體包括：（1）對自然資源的開采，如采礦、曬鹽等（但不包括禽獸捕獵和水產(chǎn)捕撈）；（2）對農(nóng)副產(chǎn)品的加工、再加工，如糧油加工、食品加工、繅絲、紡織、制革等；（3）對采掘品的加工、再加工，如煉鐵、煉鋼、化工生產(chǎn)、石油加工、機器制造、木材加工等，以及電力、自來水、煤氣的生產(chǎn)和供應等；（4）對工業(yè)品的修理、翻新，如機器設備的修理、交通運輸工具（如汽車）的修理等。 工業(yè)統(tǒng)計調(diào)查單位為獨立核算法人工業(yè)企業(yè)。 獨立核算法人工業(yè)企業(yè)指從事工業(yè)生產(chǎn)經(jīng)營活動的單位。獨立核算法人工業(yè)企業(yè)應同時具備以下條件：①依法成立，有自己的名稱、組織機構和場所，能夠承擔民事責任；②獨立擁有和使用資產(chǎn)，承擔負債，有權與其他單位簽訂合同；③獨立核算盈虧，并能夠編制資產(chǎn)負債表。 國有及國有控股企業(yè)指國有企業(yè)加上國有控股企業(yè)。國有企業(yè)（即原全民所有制工業(yè)或國營工業(yè)）指企業(yè)全部資產(chǎn)歸國家所有，并按《中華人民共和國企業(yè)法人登記管理條例》規(guī)定登記注冊的非公司制的經(jīng)濟組織。包括國有企業(yè)、國有獨資公司和國有聯(lián)營企業(yè)。1957年以前的公私合營和私營工業(yè)，后均改造為國營工業(yè)，1992年改為國有工業(yè)，這部分工業(yè)的資料不單獨分列時，均包括在國有企業(yè)內(nèi)。國有控股企業(yè)是對混合所有制經(jīng)濟的企業(yè)進行的“國有控股”分類。它是指這些企業(yè)的全部資產(chǎn)中國有資產(chǎn)（股份）相對其他所有者中的任何一個所有者占資（股）最多的企業(yè)。該分組反映了國有經(jīng)濟控股情況。 本篇涉及的其他企業(yè)登記注冊類型的解釋詳見綜合篇。 輕工業(yè)指主要提供生活消費品和制作手工工具的工業(yè)。按其所使用的原料不同，可分為兩大類：（1）以農(nóng)產(chǎn)品為原料的輕工業(yè)，是指直接或間接以農(nóng)產(chǎn)品為基本原料的輕工業(yè)。主要包括食品制造、飲料制造、煙草加工、紡織、縫紉、皮革和毛皮制作、造紙以及印刷等工業(yè)；（2）以非農(nóng)產(chǎn)品為原料的輕工業(yè)，是指以工業(yè)品為原料的輕工業(yè)。主要包括文教體育用品、化學藥品制造、合成纖維制造、日用化學制品、日用玻璃制品、日用金屬制品、手工工具制造、醫(yī)療器械制造、文化和辦公用機械制造等工業(yè)。 重工業(yè)指為國民經(jīng)濟各部門提供物質(zhì)技術基礎的主要生產(chǎn)資料的工業(yè)。按其生產(chǎn)性質(zhì)和產(chǎn)品用途，可以分為下列三類：（1）采掘（伐）工業(yè)，是指對自然資源的開采，包括石油開采、煤炭開采、金屬礦開采、非金屬礦開采等工業(yè)；（2）原材料工業(yè)，指向國民經(jīng)濟各部門提供基本材料、動力和燃料的工業(yè)。包括金屬冶煉及加工、煉焦及焦炭、化學、化工原料、水泥、人造板以及電力、石油和煤炭加工等工業(yè)；（3）加工工業(yè)，是指對工業(yè)原材料進行再加工制造的工業(yè)。包括裝備國民經(jīng)濟各部門的機械設備制造工業(yè)、金屬結構、水泥制品等工業(yè)，以及為農(nóng)業(yè)提供的生產(chǎn)資料如化肥、農(nóng)藥等工業(yè)。 根據(jù)上述劃分原則，修理業(yè)中以重工業(yè)產(chǎn)品為修理作業(yè)對象的劃為重工業(yè)，反之劃為輕工業(yè)。
