  《環(huán)境工程專業(yè)英語》是根據(jù)《大學(xué)英語教學(xué)大綱》(理工科本科用)專業(yè)閱讀部分的要求編寫的,供理工科大學(xué)環(huán)境工程或相關(guān)專業(yè)學(xué)生使用,也可供同等英語程度環(huán)境工程師或相關(guān)領(lǐng)域的科技人員使用?! ∪珪卜譃榫艂€(gè)部分(Part)共37個(gè)單元。每個(gè)單元由一篇課文和一篇閱讀材料組成,共計(jì)74篇。課文和閱讀材料均選自原版英文教科書、科技報(bào)告、著作、專業(yè)期刊、國際會議論文集等。其中第一部分介紹環(huán)境工程概述和歷史;第二部分介紹空氣污染及其防治;第三部分介紹水污染的來源和種類、各種污水處理技術(shù)、處理單元設(shè)備等;第四部分為固體廢物及處理方法;第五部分介紹其他污染及控制技術(shù);第六部分為環(huán)境影響及其評價(jià);第七部分介紹環(huán)境監(jiān)控、分析及采樣程序;第八部分介紹環(huán)境政策與管理策略;第九部分作為拓展,介紹環(huán)境與可持續(xù)發(fā)展、清潔生產(chǎn)工藝及其綠色化學(xué)過程。每篇課文均配有與課文相對應(yīng)的練習(xí),主要以主觀練習(xí)題為主,包括閱讀與詞匯練習(xí),英譯漢與漢譯英,用英語回答問題及寫出課文或某一段落的summary等。為便于學(xué)生自學(xué),本書每課配有單詞和詞組表,并對課文的難點(diǎn)作必要的注釋,全書最后附有總詞匯表。

作者簡介

  鐘理  華南理工大學(xué)化工與能源學(xué)院教授。主要從事化學(xué)工藝及水處理研究。
