內容概要

本書根據現行《考試大綱》及《課程標準》的要求，針對高二年級的學生英語水平，精選85篇美文，內容從學習心得到科普知識，從生活哲思到幽默故事，從社會焦點到科技前沿……，旨在提高學生英語閱讀水平的同時，讓其能夠更真實地走近英美文化，拓展知識面。    全書共分17單元，每單元又分為5個獨立的篇章，各篇文章重點培養(yǎng)學生在閱讀理解能力與語言、語法上相融合的程序，體現以閱讀為線索，通過閱讀理解英語、掌握英語的目的。為此每篇文章后分別設計了三個小欄目：    1.美文導讀：每篇文章后或綜合概括文章或畫點點睛妙評，讓讀者在閱讀過后的緊張狀態(tài)中得以放松心情、輕松把握文章主旨。    2.美文點睛：針對文章的難易程序對其出現的單詞給予注解，擴充詞匯量，并把文中有價值的語言、語法信息提煉總結，形成系統(tǒng)知識框架。    3.樣題解的：針對每篇文章的答案給予詳細分析，告訴讀者選什么，為什么選及怎樣選。
