版權(quán)頁：   Financial and investment cooperation expanded. In 2011, the EUhad 1,743 direct investment projects in China, with paid-in capital of US$6.35 billion. In March, a workshop on the international monetary system was held in Nanjing, China at the initiative of France, the Chair of the G20.Vice Premier Wang Qishan and French President Nicolas Sarkozy attended the opening ceremony of the workshop. China and Germany signed an MOU on enhancing economic and financial cooperation and the first China-Germany Financial Stability Forum was successfully held. China signed agreements or MOUs with Greece, Montenegro and other countries onenhancing cooperation in infrastructure building. China signed or amended agreements with the UK, Latvia and other countries on avoiding double taxation. ICBC Madrid branch officially opened, making ICBC the first Chinese bank to operate in Spain. The China Development Bank signedcooperation agreements or MOUs with Ireland, Sweden and Cyprus, and continued to provide financing support to Greek shipowners in purchasing ships from China. Chinese and European companies reached agreementon a host of cooperation projects. The China MNMETALS Corporationand the KGHM Polska Miedz S.A. signed the frame contract for coppercathodes from 2012 to 20t6. People-to-people and cultural exchanges became more active.2011 was the "China-EU Year of Youth Exchange", the first theme yearas well as the largest cultural event jointly held by the two sides sinceChina and EU established diplomatic ties. Over 10,000 young people from China and European countries took part in the event in person and160, 000 people joined the exchanges through new media. The event hada far-reaching and positive impact. The first China-EU People-to-PeopleDialogue on Friendship and Cooperation was held in Beijing and Tianjin.Vice Premier Li Keqiang attended the opening ceremony and delivereda speech. The Tianjin Consensus was adopted at the dialogue. Chinaand the UK announced their decision to set up a high-level people-to-people dialogue mechanism, the first of its kind between China and anEU member state. The Year of Chinese Language in France and the Yearof French language in China, the Year of Chinese Language in Spain, theChinese Cultural Year in Italy, the Chinese Cultural Festival in Poland,the second EU-China High-level Cultural Forum and the 4th European-Chinese Cultural Dialogue were successfully held. The Chinese SpringFestival Cultural Programs were held in several European countries andwere well received. The CCTV English News Channel was launched inMalta, and the China Radio International and the Bulgarian National Radio established cooperative relations, which was the first remote cooperative relationship between central media organizations of the two countries.
