作者簡(jiǎn)介

孔子，名丘，字仲尼，中國(guó)春秋末期的思想家和教育家，儒家的創(chuàng)始人?？鬃蛹A夏上古文化之大成，在世時(shí)已被譽(yù)為“天縱之圣”，是當(dāng)時(shí)社會(huì)上最博學(xué)者之一，并且被后世統(tǒng)治者尊為孔圣人、至圣、
至圣先師、萬(wàn)世師表。

The Master said, 'If a man sets his heart on benevolence, hewill be free from evil.' 5. The Master said, 'Wealth and high station are what mendesire but unless" I got them in the fight way I would not remains inthem. Poverty6 and low station are what men dislike, but even if I didnot get them in the right way I would not try to escape from them." 'If the gentleman forsakes benevolence, in what way can hemake a name for himself? The gentleman never deserts benevolence,not even for as long as it takes to eat a meal. If he hurries andstumblesg one may be sure that it is in benevolence that he does so.' 6. The Master said, 'I have never met a man who findsbenevolence attractive or a man who finds unbenevolence repulsive.A man who finds benevolence attractive cannot be surpassed. Aman who finds unbenevolence repulsive can, perhaps, be countedas benevolent, for he would not allow what is not benevolent tocontaminate his person. 'Is there a man who, for the space of a single day, is able todevote all his strength to benevolence? I have not come across such aman whose strength proves insufficient for the task. There must besuch cases of insufficient strength, only I have not come across them.'
