新世紀(jì)新編大學(xué)英語快速閱讀

前言

　　教育部2007年頒布了《大學(xué)英語課程教學(xué)要求》（以下簡稱《教學(xué)要求》），對(duì)大學(xué)英語教學(xué)目標(biāo)做出了定性、定量的要求，并將大學(xué)英語教學(xué)分為三個(gè)層次：一般要求、較高要求和更高要求。具體如下表所示：　　英語快速閱讀能力的培養(yǎng)與提高是大學(xué)英語教學(xué)的重要內(nèi)容，也是衡量大學(xué)生英語水平高低的重要指標(biāo)。為進(jìn)一步深化大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革，提高教學(xué)質(zhì)量，應(yīng)對(duì)新形勢(shì)、新挑戰(zhàn)，我們依據(jù)教育部2007年的《教學(xué)要求》，以外語教學(xué)理論為指導(dǎo)，以英語語言知識(shí)與應(yīng)用技能、跨文化交際和學(xué)習(xí)策略為主要內(nèi)容，編寫了這套《新世紀(jì)新編大學(xué)英語快速閱讀》（以下簡稱《快速閱讀》）。本套教材有助于學(xué)生在就業(yè)時(shí)和將來的工作、生活以及社會(huì)交往中，運(yùn)用英語進(jìn)行有效的口頭和書面交流，同時(shí)增強(qiáng)學(xué)生的自主學(xué)習(xí)能力，提高綜合文化素養(yǎng)。

　　One way to reduce the number of trees being cut down for making paper is to recycle paper. In this process the recycled paper is turned back into pulp （紙漿）. It gets mixed in with new pulp and turned into new types of paper. This is done so that the overall quality of the paper is still very good. When paper is recycled the fibers can weaken. Mixing them with new pulp improves the quality of the end product.　　Paper recycling is simple because everyone uses paper and you are most likely to be able to find paper recycling bins around the community. In addition to recycling the paper you use in your daily activities, reducing the amount of paper you consume is beneficial as well.　　A great way of reducing paper use is to go paperless as much as possible. Just about every bank, utility company, mortgage company, and credit card group offers a paperless way to take care of business. Paying bills and managing accounts online save the paper the invoices and statements are printed on as well as save you the expense of a postal stamp. While no one wants to run the postal workers out of jobs, it just makes more sense to take care of business online wherever possible. Its faster for you, saves tons of paper, and saves money in postal costs.
