汽車專業(yè)英語

前言

　　目前，汽車專業(yè)英語教材主要是面向高校本科學生，而針對汽車運用工程專業(yè)高等職業(yè)技術(shù)教育的專業(yè)英語教材至今仍然是空白。鑒于高職高專學生的培養(yǎng)目標與普通高等教育的學生有所不同，因此現(xiàn)有的汽車專業(yè)英語教材并不適用于高等職業(yè)技術(shù)教育。為充分適應(yīng)高等職業(yè)技術(shù)教育的特點，特編寫本教材。汽車專業(yè)英語課程旨在使學生通過一定學時的專業(yè)英語學習，鞏固已經(jīng)掌握的基本詞匯和語法知識，擴大專業(yè)詞匯，掌握科技文章的語法結(jié)構(gòu)及文體方面的知識，提高英語應(yīng)用能力，使學生能夠以英語為工具，獲得專業(yè)所需要的信息。本教材在內(nèi)容上分為兩大部分，第一部分課文介紹汽車各部件結(jié)構(gòu)原理；第二部分閱讀材料主要介紹汽車維修方面的內(nèi)容。這樣編排的內(nèi)容針對眭強，實用性好。同時，在課文的編排上還盡量照顧到汽車專業(yè)知識學習的系統(tǒng)性，基本上按汽車結(jié)構(gòu)分類進行編排，并選編了汽車維修與檢測資料及文獻檢索的內(nèi)容。課文內(nèi)容及閱讀材料還選編了一些現(xiàn)代汽車新技術(shù)方面的內(nèi)容，如電控汽油噴射、自動變速器、ABS防抱死制動系統(tǒng)等，使學生通過專業(yè)英語的學習，不僅能夠提高英語的應(yīng)用能力，還能進一步擴大對新技術(shù)的知識面。

內(nèi)容概要

本書以汽車構(gòu)造為基礎(chǔ)，著重選編現(xiàn)代汽車維修與檢測方面的資料。按汽車結(jié)構(gòu)分類進行編排，共分20個單元。每個單元包括課文、詞匯、注釋、練習和閱讀材料。    本書可作為在校汽車運用工程專業(yè)及其相關(guān)專業(yè)的高職學生專業(yè)英語課程的教材，亦可供汽車維修與檢測行業(yè)的從業(yè)者以及汽車愛好者自學參考。

　　The tiny jets in the fuel injectors can meter fuel only if they areclean. The fuel filter also needs attention. Replace the filter, as shown inthe service manual: Replace'the filter if you find dirt in the fuel system.Do not service the control unit unless you have the proper testequipment and training. Never remove the control unit for service. Bringit in with the car, even if the car must be towed. Most problems in thecontrol unit can be solved only with electronic diagnostic equipment.Proper fuel pressure is important to the operation of EFI systems.Pressure that is too low or too highchanges the amount of fuel deliveredto the cylinders. Low pressure causes lean running; High pressure causesan overly rich mixture.In the L-type system, manifold vacuum affects fuel pressure. As youmay recall, fuel pressure increases as a driver accelerates and decreaseswhen the foot leaves the accelerator. To check fuel pressure in thissystem, connect a fuel pressure gauge. Then disconnect the vacuum hosefrom the pressure regulator. With the engine running, the pressure gaugeshows 241kPa. When youreconnect the vacuum hose, the pressureshould'drop to 193kPa. If it does not, adjust the screw on the regulator.A common~ way to service the EFI' system is to replace parts, startingwith the control unit and continuing until the system works properly.This, however, is an expensive way to solve a problem. You can solveEFI system problems more economically by using the electronic testequipment. This equipment will pinpoint the problem. You can thenreplace the defective parts.For example, check the fuel filter and replace as shown in themanual. You should suspect a blocked fuel filter if fuel pressure is lowand cannot be adjusted to its correct level. The filter is~ in the fuel line,near the fuel pump. Replaee the filter and make sure you install the newfilter in the proper direction: Always check the fuel pressure after youinstall a new filter.
