英國(guó)文學(xué)選讀

前言

　　《英國(guó)文學(xué)及選讀》是復(fù)旦大學(xué)英語(yǔ)系的重點(diǎn)必修課，我系的許多著名專家學(xué)者如楊豈深、楊烈、孫大雨、索天章、豐華瞻、陸谷孫等教授都講授過(guò)這門(mén)課程。由于他們淵博的學(xué)識(shí)和精湛的教法，這門(mén)課深受學(xué)生們的歡迎。為了配合這門(mén)課程，楊豈深和孫銖教授于1981年組織系里的中青年學(xué)術(shù)骨干，編撰了三卷本的《英國(guó)文學(xué)選讀》。在過(guò)去的二十多年中，這套教材在我系的英國(guó)文學(xué)教學(xué)中發(fā)揮了很大的作用，得到了廣泛的好評(píng)?！　∮浀迷诙兰o(jì)八十年代末的一天，我應(yīng)邀到任孟昭教授家中，參加了孫銖教授召集的會(huì)議，專門(mén)討論修訂《英國(guó)文學(xué)選讀》一事，與會(huì)者還有巫漪云和陳雄尚教授。由于當(dāng)時(shí)許多參編者難以聚集在一起，有的人則聯(lián)系不上，還牽涉到版權(quán)的問(wèn)題，因此修訂一事就擱置了起來(lái)，這樣一停就是二十年?！　?003年，復(fù)旦大學(xué)外文學(xué)院成立。為了更好地促進(jìn)專業(yè)教學(xué)工作，院領(lǐng)導(dǎo)十分重視重點(diǎn)課程的教材建設(shè)。黃勇民院長(zhǎng)建議在原來(lái)《英國(guó)文學(xué)選讀》的基礎(chǔ)上，重新編撰一本英國(guó)文學(xué)教材，以適應(yīng)新時(shí)期英語(yǔ)專業(yè)教學(xué)和學(xué)科發(fā)展的需要。為此，我聯(lián)系了汪洪章和盧麗安老師，向他們談了設(shè)想，他們欣然接受了這項(xiàng)工作。之后，我們討論了編撰方案，確定了每個(gè)人的分工，還邀請(qǐng)了部分研究生參加編注工作?！　鞒信c創(chuàng)新是我們的編撰原則。三卷本的《英國(guó)文學(xué)選讀》閃爍著老一輩專家學(xué)者的智慧，也展示了他們深厚的學(xué)術(shù)底蘊(yùn)，對(duì)此我們應(yīng)該加以傳承。所以我們借鑒了他們的許多選篇和注解的思路，并在此基礎(chǔ)上，參考了許多其他國(guó)內(nèi)外同類的權(quán)威讀本及選集，最后選定了本書(shū)的篇目并加以注釋。應(yīng)該指出，限于當(dāng)時(shí)的情形和條件，三卷本的《英國(guó)文學(xué)選讀》在選篇上有一些局限，有些注釋也不甚準(zhǔn)確，個(gè)別選篇的來(lái)源不夠權(quán)威且注釋過(guò)多。為此，根據(jù)目前的教學(xué)情況，我們作了一些改進(jìn)，調(diào)整了選篇，精簡(jiǎn)了注釋，縮短了篇幅，增加了當(dāng)代作家作品的容量以及對(duì)時(shí)代背景和文學(xué)發(fā)展的綜述，力求給英語(yǔ)專業(yè)的學(xué)生和英國(guó)文學(xué)愛(ài)好者提供系統(tǒng)的關(guān)于英國(guó)作家和作品的介紹。

內(nèi)容概要

　　《英國(guó)文學(xué)選讀》由復(fù)旦大學(xué)外文學(xué)院英語(yǔ)系主編?！队?guó)文學(xué)選讀》選取了自14世紀(jì)起到當(dāng)代共九十多位英國(guó)作家具有代表性的作品，其中包括詩(shī)歌、戲劇、小說(shuō)、散文等體裁。在編寫(xiě)過(guò)程中，編者參考了許多國(guó)內(nèi)外同類的權(quán)威讀本及選集，并結(jié)合自己多年的研究和教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)，選定了《英國(guó)文學(xué)選讀》的篇目。所選的作品及片段由作者簡(jiǎn)介、題解、原文及注釋四部分組成，還配了作者像。對(duì)英國(guó)文學(xué)的重要發(fā)展時(shí)期，編者做了背景介紹及綜述，以方便英語(yǔ)專業(yè)的學(xué)生以及愛(ài)好英國(guó)文學(xué)的讀者閱讀、了解和欣賞英國(guó)文學(xué)作品?！　　队?guó)文學(xué)選讀》是集體合作的結(jié)果，編注人員及分工如下：　　汪洪章負(fù)責(zé)中古英國(guó)文學(xué)、文藝復(fù)興時(shí)期英國(guó)文學(xué)、17世紀(jì)英國(guó)文學(xué)、18世紀(jì)英國(guó)文學(xué)部分，丁妍、任戰(zhàn)、趙舒靜參加編注?！　O建負(fù)責(zé)浪漫主義時(shí)期英國(guó)文學(xué)、維多利亞時(shí)期英國(guó)文學(xué)、20世紀(jì)英國(guó)文學(xué)部分，吉磊、張雅琳、韋春曉、楊寧參加編注?！　”R麗安負(fù)責(zé)二戰(zhàn)后的英國(guó)文學(xué)部分，張楠、呂玨、鄒美旸參加編注。
