內(nèi)容概要

本教材有以下幾個(gè)特點(diǎn)：首先是緊扣最新變化，無論是閱讀篇幅和題型都嚴(yán)格按最新四級(jí)考試要求編寫。其次是選材多樣，內(nèi)容新穎，信息量大，所選短文全部是近兩年英美正式發(fā)表的，以介紹英美社會(huì)、人文、習(xí)俗等背景知識(shí)為主，每單元以一個(gè)話題為中心。編者的編寫宗旨是不以應(yīng)試為目的，而是給學(xué)生提供高質(zhì)量的英語閱讀文章，使學(xué)生在愉快的閱讀中，欣賞美文，開闊視野，并在不知不覺中掌握閱讀技能，尤其是快速閱讀技能。為此，我們?cè)诿繂卧卸继砑恿擞⒄Z閱讀技能介紹，以期從理論和實(shí)踐兩個(gè)方面提高學(xué)生的閱讀能力。最后，本教材適合于課堂和自學(xué)兩種教學(xué)模式。每單元由4篇文章組成，前2篇為課內(nèi)閱讀，由教師按規(guī)定的時(shí)間隨堂練習(xí)，有計(jì)劃、有步驟地培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的閱讀技能；后2篇文章為課后閱讀，可作為課后作業(yè)和學(xué)生自主學(xué)習(xí)材料，進(jìn)一步強(qiáng)化和鞏固課內(nèi)所學(xué)的內(nèi)容。
