前言

  目前已經(jīng)出版的英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教材不少,但大多是獨(dú)立的一冊(cè)教材或英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作手冊(cè),缺少一套貫穿英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)本科階段的全程教學(xué)、相互銜接、適合課堂教學(xué)使用的系列教材。我們編寫(xiě)這套教材的目的之一就是要填補(bǔ)這一空缺,為英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)的學(xué)生提供一套由淺及深、循序漸進(jìn)的寫(xiě)作教材,做到老師用了順手,學(xué)生用了有效。為了使這套教材真正對(duì)教學(xué)起到幫助作用,我們想說(shuō)明下面幾個(gè)問(wèn)題?! ?shū)面表達(dá)能力是英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)生綜合素質(zhì)的一項(xiàng)重要指標(biāo),目前越來(lái)越受到重視。對(duì)于英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)寫(xiě)作課的教學(xué),大綱已作了規(guī)定和要求,但各個(gè)地方、各個(gè)學(xué)校在執(zhí)行上因具體情況的差別而又各不相同。有的高校新生一入校就開(kāi)寫(xiě)作課,有的則要到一年級(jí)下學(xué)期或者二年級(jí)才開(kāi)寫(xiě)作課。在教學(xué)進(jìn)度上各校也不一致,有的因課時(shí)不足,不能切實(shí)完成大綱所規(guī)定的教學(xué)任務(wù),學(xué)生在撰寫(xiě)學(xué):術(shù)性的畢業(yè)論文時(shí)感到有很大困難。同時(shí),大綱本身也有一個(gè)在實(shí)踐中不斷完善、不斷適應(yīng)學(xué)生畢業(yè)后工作需要和國(guó)家經(jīng)濟(jì)建設(shè)快速發(fā)展需要的問(wèn)題?! ∵@套教材大致上第一、二、三冊(cè)分別供大學(xué)一、二:、三年級(jí)使用,第四冊(cè)則供四年級(jí)使用一個(gè)學(xué)期。對(duì)于一年級(jí)下學(xué)期才開(kāi)設(shè)寫(xiě)作課的學(xué)校來(lái)說(shuō),第一冊(cè)的一部分也可供二年級(jí)使用,第二、三冊(cè)也可分別供三、四年級(jí)使用。當(dāng)然也可以適當(dāng)壓縮內(nèi)容,將第四冊(cè)提前到三年級(jí)使用。為了幫助學(xué)生適應(yīng)英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)四級(jí)考試和八級(jí)考試對(duì)寫(xiě)作的要求,我們?cè)诘诙?、三?cè)里又分別包括了相應(yīng)的應(yīng)試寫(xiě)作內(nèi)容和相關(guān)練習(xí)。

  The Chinese New Year  (First Draft)  Pi Xin  In a small dining room, with paper-cuts-decorated windows and a big reversedfu onthe wall, my family members were sitting around the table. Mom was mixing stuffing[Meaning unclear]. Aunt was rolling dough and the rest were making dumplings.Everyone was collaborating on the feast [Wrong word], including me, a nine-year-old then. So many smiling faces I see, Grandmas loving smile, uncles hearty smile, childrens joyful smile...This is a photo taken in my home on the Chinese New Years Eve, a yellowish-tinged photo I treasure up in my family album. Such [a] scene was once so familiar tome, but now it seems distant. The past decade has seen a big change in the way Chinesepeople spend the Spring Festival, which indicates that we are gradually lacking the emotional exchange. [Your reader may not be prepared for such a statement.
