前言

　　本套教材共四級(jí)，分四個(gè)學(xué)期使用，其中指導(dǎo)手冊(cè)主要提供練習(xí)答案和聽(tīng)力教材的文字內(nèi)容。便于學(xué)生自學(xué)使用?！　≡诰帉?xiě)過(guò)程中，我們充分考慮了各地電大學(xué)生水平的差異以及成人學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)可能存在的各種困難，始終把學(xué)生的特點(diǎn)和需求當(dāng)作指導(dǎo)編寫(xiě)工作的準(zhǔn)繩。怎樣使用指導(dǎo)手冊(cè)呢？我們建議，教師在教學(xué)中根據(jù)需要靈活掌握，既可以在開(kāi)學(xué)初將指導(dǎo)手冊(cè)隨學(xué)習(xí)手冊(cè)一起發(fā)給學(xué)生，便于學(xué)生自學(xué)，也可以由教師自己掌握。每學(xué)完一個(gè)單元的課文之后，再將該單元相關(guān)的答案和文字材料發(fā)給學(xué)生，供他們進(jìn)行自我評(píng)估和糾錯(cuò)并鞏固所學(xué)知識(shí)?！　〉谒募?jí)主要有以下特點(diǎn)：1．調(diào)整布局，使結(jié)構(gòu)更趨合理、清晰。從第三級(jí)起，每一個(gè)單元由“Core Listening”，“Self．Assessment Exercises”和“Supplementary Listening”三部分組成。其中“Core Listening，為基礎(chǔ)核心內(nèi)容，學(xué)生應(yīng)該精聽(tīng)；“Self-Assessment Exercises”是自測(cè)練習(xí)，學(xué)生可以將其視為衡量自己達(dá)到何種程度的標(biāo)尺。“Supplementary Listening”是為學(xué)有余力者設(shè)計(jì)的，是學(xué)生泛聽(tīng)的素材。2．取源于英美原聲的資料明顯增多，其中不少是“VOA”的特別速度以及標(biāo)準(zhǔn)速度的英語(yǔ)節(jié)目，因而英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言也更加地道。3．內(nèi)容方面適度引進(jìn)了諸如庫(kù)爾斯克號(hào)核潛艇的沉沒(méi)、“9·11”恐怖分子襲擊事件、克隆等當(dāng)今熱門(mén)主題的討論和時(shí)事新聞，試圖給人一種時(shí)代感。4．新增了“Tuning In”和“Dictation”等內(nèi)容，以逐步培養(yǎng)學(xué)生英語(yǔ)筆記的能力。
