前言

　　本套教材共四級，分四個(gè)學(xué)期使用，其中指導(dǎo)手冊主要提供練習(xí)答案和聽力教材的文字內(nèi)容。便于學(xué)生自學(xué)使用?！　≡诰帉戇^程中，我們充分考慮了各地電大學(xué)生水平的差異以及成人學(xué)習(xí)英語可能存在的各種困難，始終把學(xué)生的特點(diǎn)和需求當(dāng)作指導(dǎo)編寫工作的準(zhǔn)繩。怎樣使用指導(dǎo)手冊呢？我們建議，教師在教學(xué)中根據(jù)需要靈活掌握，既可以在開學(xué)初將指導(dǎo)手冊隨學(xué)習(xí)手冊一起發(fā)給學(xué)生，便于學(xué)生自學(xué)，也可以由教師自己掌握。每學(xué)完一個(gè)單元的課文之后，再將該單元相關(guān)的答案和文字材料發(fā)給學(xué)生，供他們進(jìn)行自我評估和糾錯(cuò)并鞏固所學(xué)知識(shí)?！　〉谒募壷饕幸韵绿攸c(diǎn)：1．調(diào)整布局，使結(jié)構(gòu)更趨合理、清晰。從第三級起，每一個(gè)單元由“Core Listening”，“Self．Assessment Exercises”和“Supplementary Listening”三部分組成。其中“Core Listening，為基礎(chǔ)核心內(nèi)容，學(xué)生應(yīng)該精聽；“Self-Assessment Exercises”是自測練習(xí)，學(xué)生可以將其視為衡量自己達(dá)到何種程度的標(biāo)尺。“Supplementary Listening”是為學(xué)有余力者設(shè)計(jì)的，是學(xué)生泛聽的素材。2．取源于英美原聲的資料明顯增多，其中不少是“VOA”的特別速度以及標(biāo)準(zhǔn)速度的英語節(jié)目，因而英語語言也更加地道。3．內(nèi)容方面適度引進(jìn)了諸如庫爾斯克號(hào)核潛艇的沉沒、“9·11”恐怖分子襲擊事件、克隆等當(dāng)今熱門主題的討論和時(shí)事新聞，試圖給人一種時(shí)代感。4．新增了“Tuning In”和“Dictation”等內(nèi)容，以逐步培養(yǎng)學(xué)生英語筆記的能力。
