內(nèi)容概要
專業(yè)碩士研究生公共英語基礎(chǔ)課程是研究生培養(yǎng)的一個(gè)重要組成部分,應(yīng)該是一個(gè)以語言知識(shí)與技能、學(xué)習(xí)策略和交際能力為主要內(nèi)容的教學(xué)系統(tǒng)。因此,著眼于提升學(xué)生綜合語言知識(shí)和自學(xué)能力,注重綜合素質(zhì)的培養(yǎng),國(guó)際視野的拓寬,以及增強(qiáng)學(xué)生在未來學(xué)習(xí)、工作、生活中的適應(yīng)能力和競(jìng)爭(zhēng)能力應(yīng)該是專業(yè)碩士研究生英語教學(xué)建設(shè)的目標(biāo)。 長(zhǎng)期以來,我們普遍關(guān)注如何培養(yǎng)學(xué)術(shù)型全日制碩士研究生,因此培養(yǎng)體系比較完備。英語,作為學(xué)位必修課程,當(dāng)然也不例外,其教學(xué)內(nèi)容,教學(xué)模式,教學(xué)方法和手段,以及評(píng)價(jià)機(jī)制都較為規(guī)范。然而,專業(yè)碩士學(xué)位的學(xué)位必修課程是沒有現(xiàn)成的模式和體系的。在學(xué)校相關(guān)部門的支持下我們積極開展了課程建設(shè)工作。2008年我們課程組利用精品課程立項(xiàng)的契機(jī),根據(jù)我們教授專業(yè)碩士研究生課程的經(jīng)驗(yàn),在課程設(shè)置,教學(xué)吶容,教學(xué)模式,教學(xué)方法,和評(píng)價(jià)手段幾方面形成具有我校特色的專業(yè)碩士英語培養(yǎng)方案,編寫了符合學(xué)生實(shí)際水平的,兼顧外語學(xué)習(xí)工具性和人文性兩個(gè)方面的英語教材。 我們這部教材不僅在內(nèi)容上彰顯師范院校教育的特色,即選用教育為主的學(xué)習(xí)資源和內(nèi)容如杜威的《論教育》,還充分考慮各專業(yè)碩士的需求,選用了科普、社會(huì)、家庭、名人演講篇等方面的文章,力爭(zhēng)內(nèi)容豐富,題材廣泛,具有可讀性、思辨性、啟發(fā)性和時(shí)代性。本教程共有10個(gè)單元,每個(gè)單元包含A和B兩篇閱讀。建議A篇作為課堂面授的內(nèi)容,B篇用于學(xué)生課后的自主學(xué)習(xí)。練習(xí)編寫的指導(dǎo)思想是挖掘課文思想深度,開展批評(píng)性閱讀;激活英語詞匯,注重應(yīng)用能力的培養(yǎng);豐富詞匯學(xué)習(xí)方法,鞏固語言語法知識(shí);提升理解原文的準(zhǔn)確性,加強(qiáng)翻譯能力訓(xùn)練。

The most unfortunate people in the world are thosewho have never discovered how satisfying it is to read good books.I am most interested in people, in them and finding out about them.Some of the most remarkable people I've met existed only in a writer'simagination, then on the pages of his book, and then, again, in my imagi-nation. I've found in books new friends, new societies, and new words. If I am interested in people, others are interested not so much in whoas in how. Who in the books includes everybody from science fiction super-man two hundred centuries in the future all the way back to the first figuresin history. How covers everything from the ingenious explanations of Sher-lock Holmes2 to the discoveries of science and ways of teaching manners tochildren. Reading is pleasure of the mind, which means that it is a little like asport: your eagerness and knowledge and quickness make you a good read-er. Reading is fun, not because the writer is telling you something, but be-cause it makes your mind work. Your own imagination works along withthe author's or even goes beyond his. Your experience, compared with his,brings you to the same or different conclusions, and your ideas develop asyou understand his. Every book stands by itself, like a one-family house, but books in a li-brary are like houses in a city. Although they are separate, together they alladd up to something, they are connected with each other and with other cit-ies. The same ideas, or related ones, turn up in different places; the humanproblems that repeat themselves in life, repeat themselves in literature, butwith different solutions according to different writings at different times.
