前言
當(dāng)前中國(guó)的對(duì)外貿(mào)易處在一個(gè)十分重要的轉(zhuǎn)折點(diǎn)上。在經(jīng)歷多年持續(xù)的貿(mào)易順差和不斷出現(xiàn)的各種貿(mào)易沖突之后,2010年5月,中國(guó)的對(duì)外貿(mào)易將可能首次出現(xiàn)貿(mào)易逆差。換句話說(shuō),中國(guó)要想維持以前的出口貿(mào)易順差將面臨越來(lái)越多的困難,中國(guó)即將從一個(gè)出口型貿(mào)易大國(guó)轉(zhuǎn)向一個(gè)進(jìn)口型大國(guó),或者說(shuō)貿(mào)易盈余會(huì)越來(lái)越少,貿(mào)易環(huán)境不再像以前那樣寬松,這是中國(guó)新形勢(shì)下面臨的嚴(yán)峻挑戰(zhàn)。在當(dāng)前的外貿(mào)形勢(shì)下,這本《國(guó)際貿(mào)易實(shí)務(wù)》雙語(yǔ)課程教材出版了??梢哉f(shuō),國(guó)內(nèi)非常優(yōu)秀的國(guó)際貿(mào)易實(shí)務(wù)教材非常多,一批非常有建樹(shù)的國(guó)際貿(mào)易專(zhuān)家以認(rèn)真負(fù)責(zé)的態(tài)度貢獻(xiàn)了許多優(yōu)秀的教材,這些教材無(wú)論在理論方面、實(shí)際業(yè)務(wù)操作方面,還是在理論與實(shí)際的結(jié)合方面,都有非常系統(tǒng)、深入、生動(dòng)的闡述和講解,讀者可以得到系統(tǒng)的知識(shí)和實(shí)踐,基本能夠達(dá)到各種層面的要求。但是,隨著雙語(yǔ)教學(xué)的開(kāi)展,在從事雙語(yǔ)教學(xué)的過(guò)程中,筆者發(fā)現(xiàn):我們很難找到一本適合的雙語(yǔ)教材,現(xiàn)存的雙語(yǔ)教材既不能從知識(shí)的寬度上給學(xué)生以整體的把握。比如涵蓋的知識(shí)點(diǎn)較少,又不能從內(nèi)容的深度上讓學(xué)習(xí)者具備基本的國(guó)際貿(mào)易業(yè)務(wù)員的知識(shí)。比如,有些教材采用了英國(guó)的教材體系,內(nèi)容稍淺。因此該教材力求彌補(bǔ)現(xiàn)存雙語(yǔ)教材的這兩大缺點(diǎn)。另外,在練習(xí)的設(shè)計(jì)上,幾乎沒(méi)有一本雙語(yǔ)教材有豐富多樣的課后練習(xí),從而不利于知識(shí)的鞏固和強(qiáng)化。而且其中的練習(xí)僅局限于回答問(wèn)題和案例分析等一些傳統(tǒng)題目。本書(shū)除部分傳統(tǒng)習(xí)題形式外,還增加了判斷題和選擇題,重點(diǎn)考查學(xué)習(xí)者對(duì)文中內(nèi)容的掌握程度。

插圖:Preparation of goods is the first step in performing contract. In order to fulfill a sale contract, the seller must prepare goods according to the time limit stipulated in the contract and in accordance with the latest date of shipment in L/C. When preparing goods, the seller should pay much attention to quality, specification, quantity, packing, inspection, etc. No matter the quality is higher or lower than the stipulation of contract, it is regarded as breach of contract.As to the quantity, according to article 37 of CISG, "if the seller had delivered goods before the date for delivery, he may, up to that date, deliver any missing part or make up any deficiency in the quantity of the goods delivered, or deliver goods in replacement of any non-conforming goods delivered or remedy any lack of conformity in the goods delivered, provided that the exercise of this right does not cause the buyer unreasonable inconvenience or unreasonable expense. However, the buyer retains any right to claim damages as provided for in this convention".
