前言
當(dāng)前中國的對外貿(mào)易處在一個十分重要的轉(zhuǎn)折點上。在經(jīng)歷多年持續(xù)的貿(mào)易順差和不斷出現(xiàn)的各種貿(mào)易沖突之后,2010年5月,中國的對外貿(mào)易將可能首次出現(xiàn)貿(mào)易逆差。換句話說,中國要想維持以前的出口貿(mào)易順差將面臨越來越多的困難,中國即將從一個出口型貿(mào)易大國轉(zhuǎn)向一個進口型大國,或者說貿(mào)易盈余會越來越少,貿(mào)易環(huán)境不再像以前那樣寬松,這是中國新形勢下面臨的嚴(yán)峻挑戰(zhàn)。在當(dāng)前的外貿(mào)形勢下,這本《國際貿(mào)易實務(wù)》雙語課程教材出版了??梢哉f,國內(nèi)非常優(yōu)秀的國際貿(mào)易實務(wù)教材非常多,一批非常有建樹的國際貿(mào)易專家以認(rèn)真負(fù)責(zé)的態(tài)度貢獻了許多優(yōu)秀的教材,這些教材無論在理論方面、實際業(yè)務(wù)操作方面,還是在理論與實際的結(jié)合方面,都有非常系統(tǒng)、深入、生動的闡述和講解,讀者可以得到系統(tǒng)的知識和實踐,基本能夠達(dá)到各種層面的要求。但是,隨著雙語教學(xué)的開展,在從事雙語教學(xué)的過程中,筆者發(fā)現(xiàn):我們很難找到一本適合的雙語教材,現(xiàn)存的雙語教材既不能從知識的寬度上給學(xué)生以整體的把握。比如涵蓋的知識點較少,又不能從內(nèi)容的深度上讓學(xué)習(xí)者具備基本的國際貿(mào)易業(yè)務(wù)員的知識。比如,有些教材采用了英國的教材體系,內(nèi)容稍淺。因此該教材力求彌補現(xiàn)存雙語教材的這兩大缺點。另外,在練習(xí)的設(shè)計上,幾乎沒有一本雙語教材有豐富多樣的課后練習(xí),從而不利于知識的鞏固和強化。而且其中的練習(xí)僅局限于回答問題和案例分析等一些傳統(tǒng)題目。本書除部分傳統(tǒng)習(xí)題形式外,還增加了判斷題和選擇題,重點考查學(xué)習(xí)者對文中內(nèi)容的掌握程度。

插圖:Preparation of goods is the first step in performing contract. In order to fulfill a sale contract, the seller must prepare goods according to the time limit stipulated in the contract and in accordance with the latest date of shipment in L/C. When preparing goods, the seller should pay much attention to quality, specification, quantity, packing, inspection, etc. No matter the quality is higher or lower than the stipulation of contract, it is regarded as breach of contract.As to the quantity, according to article 37 of CISG, "if the seller had delivered goods before the date for delivery, he may, up to that date, deliver any missing part or make up any deficiency in the quantity of the goods delivered, or deliver goods in replacement of any non-conforming goods delivered or remedy any lack of conformity in the goods delivered, provided that the exercise of this right does not cause the buyer unreasonable inconvenience or unreasonable expense. However, the buyer retains any right to claim damages as provided for in this convention".
