前言

隨著我國(guó)改革開(kāi)放進(jìn)程的加快和國(guó)民經(jīng)濟(jì)高速發(fā)展,隨著交通管理和通信技術(shù)不斷進(jìn)步,隨著旅游景區(qū)的開(kāi)發(fā)維護(hù)和對(duì)旅游文化的深度挖掘,隨著旅游服務(wù)接待設(shè)施、設(shè)備的不斷更新完善,隨著居民收入的大幅度提高和節(jié)假日閑暇時(shí)間的增多,旅游正在日益成為現(xiàn)代社會(huì)人們的主要休閑方式和社會(huì)經(jīng)濟(jì)活動(dòng);大眾化旅游時(shí)代已經(jīng)到來(lái),旅游業(yè)也在以其強(qiáng)勁發(fā)展勢(shì)頭而成為全球經(jīng)濟(jì)中最具活力的綠色朝陽(yáng)產(chǎn)業(yè)。根據(jù)國(guó)家旅游局近年來(lái)發(fā)布的《中國(guó)旅游業(yè)統(tǒng)計(jì)公報(bào)》顯示,2007年我國(guó)旅游業(yè)總收入首次突破l萬(wàn)億元,2008年全國(guó)旅游人數(shù)達(dá)1.71億,2009年在受金融危機(jī)影響、全球旅游需求下滑的情況下,國(guó)內(nèi)旅游依然有11.7%的增幅,出境游也在持續(xù)回升。目前中國(guó)繼續(xù)保持著全球第四大人境旅游接待國(guó)、亞洲最大出境旅游客源國(guó)的地位。另?yè)?jù)國(guó)家旅游協(xié)會(huì)針對(duì)旅游經(jīng)濟(jì)的調(diào)查統(tǒng)計(jì),居民因?yàn)槁糜味炕?元就可以帶動(dòng)相關(guān)消費(fèi)5元,直接或間接地刺激行業(yè)經(jīng)濟(jì)、促進(jìn)140多個(gè)相關(guān)產(chǎn)業(yè)的連帶發(fā)展。旅游作為文化創(chuàng)意產(chǎn)業(yè)的核心支柱,在國(guó)際交往、商務(wù)活動(dòng)、文化交流、賑災(zāi)恢復(fù)、拉動(dòng)內(nèi)需、解決就業(yè)、促進(jìn)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展、豐富社會(huì)生活、構(gòu)建和諧社會(huì)、弘揚(yáng)中華文化、加深世界各國(guó)人民的友誼等方面發(fā)揮著越來(lái)越大的作用,因而已經(jīng)成為我國(guó)服務(wù)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的重要產(chǎn)業(yè),在我國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展中占有舉足輕重的位置。近年來(lái),隨著全球旅游業(yè)的快速發(fā)展,特別是北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)、上海世博會(huì)、廣州亞運(yùn)會(huì)陸續(xù)在我國(guó)舉辦,不僅使我國(guó)在國(guó)際的交往更加頻繁,也為我國(guó)旅游業(yè)的大發(fā)展提供了一個(gè)難能可貴的良好機(jī)遇。為此,2009年國(guó)務(wù)院常務(wù)會(huì)議討論并通過(guò)了《關(guān)于加快發(fā)展旅游業(yè)的意見(jiàn)》,旅游業(yè)被正式確立為國(guó)民經(jīng)濟(jì)的戰(zhàn)略性支柱產(chǎn)業(yè),這是黨中央和中國(guó)政府的偉大戰(zhàn)略決策。

內(nèi)容概要

插圖:Employers prefer to hire travel agents who have formal training in this field.  Superb communication and computer skills are essential for talking with clients and making travel reservations.Most travel agencies prefer  applicants who  have received training specific to becoming a travel agent. Many vocational schools offer full-time travel agent programs.Travel agent courses  are  also  offered  in  public  adult education programs, online, and in community colleges. These programs teach  students about geography, sales, marketing, and travel industry forms and procedures for ticketing and reservations.Travel agents must be well-organized, accurate, and detail-oriented in order to compile information from various sources and to plan and organize travel itineraries. Agents must have excellent communication skills and must be professional and courteous when dealing with travel representatives and clients.
