經(jīng)典童話三部曲

前言

《愛麗絲漫游奇境》、《木偶奇遇記》和《小王子》是19世紀(jì)和20世紀(jì)最著名的童話小說，分別由英國著名小說家劉易斯·卡羅爾、意大利著名兒童文學(xué)作家卡爾洛·科洛迪、法國著名作家圣?？诵跖謇锞幹伞⒁姿埂た_爾（Lewis Carroll，1832—1898），英國數(shù)學(xué)家、邏輯學(xué)家、攝影學(xué)家和小說家，但其最大的成就還是在兒童文學(xué)創(chuàng)作領(lǐng)域。他因創(chuàng)作《愛麗絲漫游奇境》成為與安徒生、格林兄弟齊名的世界兒童文學(xué)大師，也成為世界文壇中作品翻譯成其他語種最多的作家之一。1862年的一天，劉易斯·卡羅爾與好友——牛津大學(xué)基督堂學(xué)院院長利德爾一家乘船航行。途中，他以利德爾10歲的女兒愛麗絲作為主人公，隨口編出了《愛麗絲漫游奇境記》，孩子們聽得津津有味?；氐郊依镆院?，愛麗絲要求卡羅爾把他白天講過的故事寫下來。卡羅爾滿足了小女孩的要求，回到家后就開始寫這個(gè)故事。同年圣誕節(jié)前夕，他給愛麗絲寄去了手抄稿。這個(gè)手抄稿在一個(gè)偶然的機(jī)會(huì)被英國著名的小說家金斯萊發(fā)現(xiàn)了，他覺得這是一個(gè)很好的故事，并建議卡羅爾出版。1865年，該書一經(jīng)出版便獲得成功，并一度成為當(dāng)時(shí)的最暢銷圖書。后來，卡羅爾又寫了《愛麗絲漫游奇境記》的續(xù)集——《愛麗絲境中奇遇記》，該書于1872年出版，并獲得巨大成功?！稅埯惤z漫游奇境記》和《愛麗絲境中奇遇記》通過愛麗絲的夢把荒誕離奇的想象和真實(shí)合理的常識(shí)巧妙地交織在一起，既體現(xiàn)了兒童的心理，又影射了世態(tài)人情，處處妙趣橫生，讓人回味無窮。它神奇的幻想、風(fēng)趣的幽默、美妙的詩情，突破了西歐傳統(tǒng)兒童學(xué)道德說教的刻板公式，深受讀者的歡迎，甚至得到了英國女王維多利亞的青睞。一百多年來，該書被翻譯成80多種語言，僅次于《圣經(jīng)》和莎士比亞的劇本，可謂是走遍全世界。在19世紀(jì)，卡爾洛·科洛迪編著的《木偶奇遇記》與《愛麗絲漫游奇境》同樣享有盛譽(yù)?？柭濉た坡宓希–arlo Collodi，1826—1890），原名卡爾洛·洛倫齊尼，意大利著名兒童文學(xué)作家。1826年11月24日出生在意大利托斯坎納地區(qū)一個(gè)名叫科洛迪的小鎮(zhèn)，他的筆名便是由這個(gè)小鎮(zhèn)的名稱而來?？坡宓暇ǚㄎ?，曾翻譯過法國貝羅的童話。 科洛迪一生中寫過許多短篇小說、隨筆、評論，然而最有影響的卻是他為孩子們寫的童話故事，這些童話故事構(gòu)思豐富，人物形象栩栩如生，情節(jié)曲折動(dòng)人，為他贏得了巨大的聲譽(yù)。科洛迪的主要作品有：《小手杖》、《小木片》、《小手杖漫游意大利》、《小手杖地理》、《小手杖文法》、《木偶奇遇記》、《眼睛和鼻子》、《快樂的故事》、《愉快的符號(hào)》和《諷刺雜談》等。在科洛迪的眾多杰作中，《木偶奇遇記》是其中的典型代表，這部童話小說也使他成為享有世界聲譽(yù)的大作家。1881年，科洛迪開始創(chuàng)作《木偶奇遇記》。最初，這部書是以《木偶的故事》為名發(fā)表在《兒童雜志》上的。1883年，出版了該書的單行本，改名為《匹諾曹奇遇記》。這部小說以豐富的想象力、栩栩如生的人物形象、曲折生動(dòng)的情節(jié)獲得了小讀者的喜愛。該書被譽(yù)為“意大利兒童讀物的杰作”、“意大利兒童讀物中最美的書”。為了紀(jì)念他，意大利還專門設(shè)立了“科洛迪兒童文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)”。由圣?？诵跖謇锞幹?、1943年出版的《小王子》被公認(rèn)為20世紀(jì)最有影響的童話小說之一。圣?？诵跖謇铮ˋntoine de Saint-Exupery，1900—1944），法國著名作家、飛行員。出生于法國里昂，1921—1923年在法國空軍服役，后成為民用航空駕駛員，在此期間他一直堅(jiān)持寫作。1925年發(fā)表了第一部作品《舞蹈姑娘瑪儂》，隨后又發(fā)表了短篇小說《飛行家》。1931年德國法西斯入侵法國，他堅(jiān)決要求參加了抗德戰(zhàn)爭，被編入空軍偵察大隊(duì)。1940年復(fù)員后他只身來到美國。在美國期間，他繼續(xù)從事寫作，1940年發(fā)表了《戰(zhàn)斗飛行員》，1943年發(fā)表了《給一個(gè)人質(zhì)的信》和《小王子》。同年，在他的強(qiáng)烈要求下，他回到法國在北非的抗戰(zhàn)基地阿爾及爾。1944年，在一次執(zhí)行飛行任務(wù)時(shí)遭遇納粹空軍，壯烈犧牲。在圣?？诵跖謇餅閿?shù)不多的作品中，《小王子》使他成為享有世界聲譽(yù)的大作家。該書自出版以來，被翻譯成100多種語言，并且被改編成戲劇、電影、電視劇、芭蕾舞、歌劇、木偶劇和卡通等等，被許多國家選入教科書，成為青少年的必讀書籍，是世界上流傳最廣、影響最大的童話小說之一。在中國，《愛麗絲境中奇遇記》、《木偶奇遇記》和《小王子》都是最受廣大青少年讀者歡迎的經(jīng)典童話作品。目前，在國內(nèi)數(shù)量眾多的《愛麗絲境中奇遇記》、《木偶奇遇記》和《小王子》書籍中，主要的出版形式有兩種：一種是中文翻譯版，另一種是中英文對照版。而其中的中英文對照讀本比較受讀者的歡迎，這主要是得益于中國人熱衷于學(xué)習(xí)英文的大環(huán)境。而從英文學(xué)習(xí)的角度上來看，直接使用純英文的學(xué)習(xí)資料更有利于英語學(xué)習(xí)?？紤]到對英文內(nèi)容背景的了解有助于英文閱讀，使用中文導(dǎo)讀應(yīng)該是一種比較好的方式，也可以說是該類型書的第三種版本形式。采用中文導(dǎo)讀而非中英文對照的方式進(jìn)行編排，這樣有利于國內(nèi)讀者擺脫對英文閱讀依賴中文注釋的習(xí)慣?；谝陨显?，我們決定編譯這三部經(jīng)典童話小說，并稱之為《經(jīng)典童話三部曲》，采用中文導(dǎo)讀英文版的形式出版。在中文導(dǎo)讀中，我們盡力使其貼近原作的精髓，也盡可能保留原作風(fēng)格。我們希望能夠編出為當(dāng)代中國讀者所喜愛的經(jīng)典讀本。讀者在閱讀英文故事之前，可以先閱讀中文導(dǎo)讀內(nèi)容，這樣有利于了解故事背景，從而加快閱讀速度。我們相信，該經(jīng)典著作的引進(jìn)對加強(qiáng)當(dāng)代中國讀者，特別是青少年讀者的人文修養(yǎng)是非常有幫助的?！督?jīng)典童話三部曲》主要內(nèi)容由王勛、紀(jì)飛編譯。參加《經(jīng)典童話三部曲》故事素材搜集整理及編譯工作的還有鄭佳、劉乃亞、熊金玉、李麗秀、趙雪、熊紅華、王婷婷、孟憲行、胡國平、李曉紅、貢東興、陳楠、邵舒麗、馮潔、王業(yè)偉、徐鑫、王曉旭、周麗萍、熊建國、徐平國、肖潔、王小紅等。限于我們的科學(xué)、人文素養(yǎng)和英語水平，書中難免會(huì)有不當(dāng)之處，我們衷心希望讀者朋友批評指正。

她想，老鼠可能不懂英文。便用法文問了一句，把老鼠嚇了一跳。原來她問的是貓?jiān)谀睦铩埯惤z夸起自己家的貓逮老鼠的本領(lǐng)強(qiáng)，說得老鼠更惱了，它說它們?nèi)叶己挢?。她又說起自己家附近的狗，能咬死一切大耗子。老鼠嚇得從她身邊溜走了。這時(shí)，愛麗絲見池子里掉了好多小鳥和小獸，便領(lǐng)著它們向池邊游去。uriouser and curiouser!”cried Alice(she was so much surprised，that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English)；“now I'mopening out like the largest telescope that ever was!Good-bye，feet!”(for whenshe looked down at her feet，they seemed to be almost out of sight，they weregetting SO far off)．“Oh，my poor little feet，1 wonder who will put on yourshoes and stockings for you now,dears?I'm sure I shan't be able!I shall bea great deal too far off to trouble myself about you：you must manage the bestway you can；-but I must be kind to them，”thought Alice，“or perhaps theywon’t walk the way 1 want to go!Let me see：I’11 give them a new pair of bootsevery Christmas．" And she went on planning to herself how she would manage it．“Theymust go by the carrier”she thought；“and how funny it’ll seem，sendingpresents to one'S own feet!And how odd the directions will look!
