內(nèi)容概要

　　《超越的可能：作為知識分子的喬叟》從“知識分子”的視角，以知識分子的社會功能和智慧品質(zhì)為線索，將“英國詩歌之父”喬叟置于古今中外各種參照系里，結(jié)合文學文本分析和對中世紀英國社會、政治、性別和文化狀況的追溯，探討喬叟文學創(chuàng)作與歷史語境的互動關(guān)系，解讀詩人文本策略的社會意義，揭示喬叟不僅具備廣義知識分子的博學和智慧，更在某種程度上，扮演了現(xiàn)代知識分子的社會批評者和大眾啟蒙者的角色，藉此論證喬叟具有超越其時代的現(xiàn)代性，反觀當代知識分子研究的局限性。

作者簡介

　　丁建寧 1967年生，華東師范大學文學博士?，F(xiàn)為南京師范大學外國語學院英語系副主任，副教授，碩士研究生導師。主要研究興趣為中世紀英語文學、英國現(xiàn)當代文學和英語教育。
