作者弗雷德里克·格雷維特（Frederick J.Gravetter）是紐約州立大學(xué)（Brockport）心理系教授，教授統(tǒng)計學(xué)、認(rèn)知心理學(xué)和實驗設(shè)計，教齡近40年，教學(xué)經(jīng)驗豐富。另一作者拉里·沃爾諾（Larry B.Wallnau）是同一所大學(xué)的心理系教授，著述頗豐，其教學(xué)研究成果多次獲獎。
