內(nèi)容概要

本書是在系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)經(jīng)典理論的基礎(chǔ)上發(fā)展而來的一部導(dǎo)論性著作。作者聲明，該書的目的是為語篇分析提供一個綜合性的分析框架，其實，它對韓禮德的語言理論同時進行了修正和發(fā)展，直言之，作者馬丁以韓禮德和哈桑的語篇銜接理論為出發(fā)點，通過探討語篇語義系統(tǒng)及其結(jié)構(gòu)，來發(fā)展經(jīng)典理論的語義層和語境層。    總起來看，本書對經(jīng)典系統(tǒng)功能模式既有繼承，也有發(fā)展。繼承有兩點，第一，語篇是一個社交語義的單位，只是在這里作者明確區(qū)分了詞匯語法和語篇語義，說明了兩個層次是由語法隱喻來調(diào)節(jié)的，并由元功能來組織的。第二，詞匯語法是語篇分析的基本要素，但其側(cè)重點是語境的制約作用。
