人文科學(xué)專業(yè)英語教程（第二版·上）

內(nèi)容概要

　　《人文科學(xué)專業(yè)英語教程》自1999年出版以來，深受讀者歡迎，被許多高校用作專業(yè)英語教學(xué)階段的教科書。2006年，它又被教育部評為普通高等教育“十一五”國家級規(guī)劃教材，這無疑體現(xiàn)了專家和學(xué)者們對該教材的肯定。新的榮譽(yù)帶來了新的要求，在試用了七八年后，我們覺得有必要對原教材進(jìn)行較大規(guī)模的修訂，以便使教材內(nèi)容和語言都更好地反映時代的要求?！　∑浯危抻嗊@本教材還基于以下的原因：2004年初，教育部頒發(fā)了《大學(xué)英語課程教學(xué)要求》，用以替代原來的《大學(xué)英語教學(xué)大綱》。它在“較高要求”和“更高要求”中，對學(xué)生的專業(yè)英語能力提出了比原來的教學(xué)大綱更高的要求；根據(jù)大綱制訂者的解釋，這是為了適應(yīng)我國改革開放新形勢的要求而采取的舉措?！　⌒蝿莸拇_在變化，但是，這并不意味著學(xué)習(xí)英語的規(guī)律完全變了。而許多這類教材編寫者所追求的目標(biāo)和境界就是如何使教材既反映時代的變化又保持傳統(tǒng)的優(yōu)勢。在新修訂的這本教材中，我們采用經(jīng)典和時文相結(jié)合的方式，力圖實現(xiàn)這一目標(biāo)。如果說原教材在選材上側(cè)重著名學(xué)者的經(jīng)典著作的話，那么，新修訂的版本則是一方面保留了內(nèi)容和文字皆佳的經(jīng)典之作，另一方面又補(bǔ)充了相當(dāng)數(shù)量的上個世紀(jì)后半期至今的著作，這樣不僅可以體現(xiàn)語言的時效性，也能夠使讀者接觸到新知識和新論點(diǎn)。
