內(nèi)容概要
《人文科學(xué)專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)教程》自1999年出版以來(lái),深受讀者歡迎,被許多高校用作專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)階段的教科書(shū)。2006年,它又被教育部評(píng)為普通高等教育“十一五”國(guó)家級(jí)規(guī)劃教材,這無(wú)疑體現(xiàn)了專(zhuān)家和學(xué)者們對(duì)該教材的肯定。新的榮譽(yù)帶來(lái)了新的要求,在試用了七八年后,我們覺(jué)得有必要對(duì)原教材進(jìn)行較大規(guī)模的修訂,以便使教材內(nèi)容和語(yǔ)言都更好地反映時(shí)代的要求?! ∑浯危抻嗊@本教材還基于以下的原因:2004年初,教育部頒發(fā)了《大學(xué)英語(yǔ)課程教學(xué)要求》,用以替代原來(lái)的《大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)大綱》。它在“較高要求”和“更高要求”中,對(duì)學(xué)生的專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)能力提出了比原來(lái)的教學(xué)大綱更高的要求;根據(jù)大綱制訂者的解釋?zhuān)@是為了適應(yīng)我國(guó)改革開(kāi)放新形勢(shì)的要求而采取的舉措。 形勢(shì)的確在變化,但是,這并不意味著學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的規(guī)律完全變了。而許多這類(lèi)教材編寫(xiě)者所追求的目標(biāo)和境界就是如何使教材既反映時(shí)代的變化又保持傳統(tǒng)的優(yōu)勢(shì)。在新修訂的這本教材中,我們采用經(jīng)典和時(shí)文相結(jié)合的方式,力圖實(shí)現(xiàn)這一目標(biāo)。如果說(shuō)原教材在選材上側(cè)重著名學(xué)者的經(jīng)典著作的話,那么,新修訂的版本則是一方面保留了內(nèi)容和文字皆佳的經(jīng)典之作,另一方面又補(bǔ)充了相當(dāng)數(shù)量的上個(gè)世紀(jì)后半期至今的著作,這樣不僅可以體現(xiàn)語(yǔ)言的時(shí)效性,也能夠使讀者接觸到新知識(shí)和新論點(diǎn)。
