內容概要

在英語文學史中，加、澳兩國的文學發(fā)展不容忽視，它們散發(fā)著本土氣息，也取得了輝煌的成就，其中不乏諾貝爾文學獎獲得者。然而英美文學方面的書籍可謂數不勝數，但涉獵加、澳兩國文學的書刊卻寥寥無幾，令人遺憾。    本書正是基于以上的這一認識，試圖對英、美、加、澳這四國主要英語國家的文學發(fā)展史做一個清晰、簡要而全面的概述，為廣大英語教師、英語專業(yè)學生及英語愛好者們提供一個了解與認識這幾國英語文學的平臺。    本書共分四部分：英國文學簡史、美國文學簡史、加拿大文學簡史和澳大利亞文學簡史。每一部分都分別介紹了該國的文學發(fā)展概況，各歷史時期著名的文學家及其有代表性的小說、散文、詩歌、戲劇等文學作品。    本教材供培養(yǎng)本科層次人才的普通高等學校應用型英語專業(yè)和獨立學院英語專業(yè)使用，也可供普通高等學校其他相關專業(yè)的師生和社會人員進修或自學使用。
