　　《色譜進(jìn)展》OnbehalfoftheDISECorganisation，WelcometoDalian，WelcometoChinaTheproceedingsofDISEC2007serveastheformalrecordofthescientificprogram，coveringthethreeseparateSymposiathatconstitutethemeeting.　　Themeetingpromisestobeamajorcelebrationofseparationscience，andtheseparationsciencecommunityhasthrownitsweightbehindthisSymposia.Themeetingisheldundertheauspicesofthe“InternationalOrganizationforPromotionof　　MicrocolumnSeparations”andthe“ChineseAcademyofScience”withsupportfromvariousorganizationsinChina，andleadingInternationalcompaniesintheseparationsciences.Combiningthe“30thInternationalSymposiuminCapillary Chromatography”，“4thComprehensiveTwo-dimensionalGasChromatographySymposium”andthe“16thChineseSymposiumand　　ExhibitiononChromatography，”theconferencewilloffermanyopportunitiestopresentbothinternationalandregional accomplishmentsinchromatography.DuringtheperiodoftheSymposiaanexhibitionwillbeheldtoshowcasenewly evelopedinstruments，peripheraldevicesandreagentsfrommanufacturersaroundtheworld.Additionally，ashortcourseonGC×GCandBioanalyticalLC-MSwillbeheldonSundayJune3.NootherinternationallyscheduledchromatographymeetinghasbeenheldinChinabefore.ItshouldbeseennotjustasaconvenientlocationandtimetohaveaconferenceinChina，inthebuilduptotheOlympics，butalsoasthenaturalprogressionofChineseandregionalseparationscienceresearchasavigorousandcompetitiveplayerontheworldscene.ScienceingeneralisrespectedasavaluablepursuitinChinaandinthewiderAsianregion，asiswitnessedbyademographicshiftinresearchpublicationstowardsthisregion.HencetheengagementbetweenresearchersinAsiaandtherestoftheworldisanaturalandimportantdevelopment.AlthoughtheISCCmeetingsnormallyalternateannuallybetween　　Europe（Italy）andtheUSA，theyhavebeenheldpr　　furnished
