　　The Communist Party of China (CPC) has been growing steadily for 90 years, since its birth in 1921. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949 the Chinese people, led by the CPC, have blazed a trail to build socialism with Chinese characteristics.What makes the CPC so successful? ALthough this book cannot cover all aspects of the CPC, it answers the questions people are primarily interested in, and is a contribution to a better understanding of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the CPC's operating mechanism and style of governance.

　　李君如，中共中央黨校副校長(zhǎng)，研究員，博士生導(dǎo)師，第十屆全國(guó)政協(xié)委員，國(guó)務(wù)院政府特殊津貼享受者。長(zhǎng)期以來主要研究馬克思主義中國(guó)化的思想發(fā)展史，包括毛澤東思想、鄧小平理論、“三個(gè)代表”重要思想和十六大以來黨中央提出的一系列重大戰(zhàn)略思想，多次參加中央重大課題的調(diào)研和重要文件的起草工作。出版著作數(shù)十部，其中由《毛澤東與近代中國(guó)》，《毛澤東與當(dāng)代中國(guó)》、《毛澤東與毛澤東后的當(dāng)代中國(guó)》組成的“毛澤東研究三部曲”在1998年榮獲第11屆中國(guó)圖書獎(jiǎng)。主持編寫了《鄧小平同志建設(shè)有中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義理論學(xué)習(xí)綱要》和《建設(shè)有中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義若干理論問題學(xué)習(xí)綱要》。發(fā)表論文和各類文章數(shù)百篇，其中《鄧小平的“中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義論”》獲1992年全國(guó)“五個(gè)一工程”優(yōu)秀論文獎(jiǎng)，《鄧小平的管理思想與領(lǐng)導(dǎo)藝術(shù)》（與夏禹龍合著）獲1995年全國(guó)“五個(gè)一工程”優(yōu)秀論文獎(jiǎng)，等等。曾任中共中央宣傳部理論局副局長(zhǎng)、中共中央黨史研究室副主任。兼任中國(guó)中共黨史學(xué)會(huì)副會(huì)長(zhǎng)、中國(guó)政協(xié)理論研究會(huì)副會(huì)長(zhǎng)、中國(guó)人權(quán)研究會(huì)副會(huì)長(zhǎng)、中國(guó)改革開放論壇副理事長(zhǎng)、中國(guó)馬克思主義哲學(xué)史學(xué)會(huì)常務(wù)理事、全國(guó)“三個(gè)代表”重要思想研究會(huì)會(huì)長(zhǎng)。
