Cheng Naishan was born in Shanghai in 1946.She graduated from the English Department of Shanghai's Education Institute and taught as an English teacher in one of Shanghai's middle schools.    In 1979 her first work，“The Song Mother Taught Me to sing”,was published in Shanghai Literature and she has so far published dozens of short stries.    In1982,a collection of her stories,The Death of the Swan,was published by the Jiangsu People's Press.In September 1983 she joined the Shanghai Writers Association.She has been a pro-fessional writer since 1985.    In the winter of 1990,she went to Hong Kong and settled down there.She's now a member of the Hong Kong Writers Council.

作者簡介

　　程乃珊，1946年生，浙江桐鄉(xiāng)人。1965年上海教育學(xué)院英語專科畢業(yè)，任中學(xué)教師20年之久?！　?979年在《上海文學(xué)》發(fā)表處女作《媽媽教唱的歌》，1982年開始從事專業(yè)文學(xué)創(chuàng)作，1986年調(diào)上海作家協(xié)會任專業(yè)作家。主要代表作有《藍屋》、《窮街》、《女兒經(jīng)》、《金融家》等，小說被譯成多國文字，并被拍成電影和電視劇?！　?991開始穿梭于滬港兩地，涉足傳媒和紀實寫作，著重關(guān)注滬港兩地文化、經(jīng)濟，民生的差異和緣源．代表作有《雙城之戀》、《老香港》、《上海街情話》等。近年關(guān)注老上海文化的研究和紀實，先后出版了《上海探戈》、《上海LADY》、《上海FASHl0N》、《海上薩克斯風(fēng)》等上海系列紀實散文集。　　寫作之余，反串文字翻譯，譯作有《上海生死劫》、《喜福會》等。
