The casewas veiled in mystery and it emerged and died away several times. Eventually, a fair-minded and courageousjudge happened to hear it. After he had made greatefforts to clear all the obstacles, the truth was revealedand the real criminals were brought to justice. Because the case was heard by the Chinyiwei （Imperial Bodyguards）。first and was only brought to Emperor Jiajing's attention after a 'long time, it caused a great stirthroughout the country. It was considered one of the most sensational cases in the middle years of the Ming Dynasty.
