前言
化學(xué)是醫(yī)科學(xué)生的一門重要基礎(chǔ)課。我國大部分高等醫(yī)學(xué)院校開設(shè)了基礎(chǔ)化學(xué)和有機(jī)化學(xué)兩門課程來完成高等醫(yī)學(xué)教育中的化學(xué)教育。這樣的教學(xué)目標(biāo)使得基礎(chǔ)化學(xué)課程的內(nèi)容十分寬泛,總體來說,它必須包含無機(jī)化學(xué)、物理化學(xué)與膠體化學(xué)、結(jié)構(gòu)化學(xué)和分析化學(xué)中的必需基礎(chǔ)知識,以及化學(xué)與醫(yī)學(xué)和生命科學(xué)交叉領(lǐng)域發(fā)展起來的必要知識。經(jīng)過30年的探索改革和教學(xué)實(shí)踐,基礎(chǔ)化學(xué)已經(jīng)有了比較成熟合理的教學(xué)內(nèi)容。人民衛(wèi)生出版社出版的《基礎(chǔ)化學(xué)》教材就典型地反映了基礎(chǔ)化學(xué)課程的沿革和發(fā)展?! ‰S著我國高等醫(yī)學(xué)教育發(fā)展的需要,全英語教學(xué)和雙語教學(xué)已經(jīng)比較普遍,而且在國際交流中,一些醫(yī)學(xué)院校接收的國外留學(xué)生人數(shù)增加,有一本合適的英語基礎(chǔ)化學(xué)教材成為許多學(xué)校的共同愿望。出于這個目的,我們編寫了這本《醫(yī)學(xué)基礎(chǔ)化學(xué)》。這本教材與人民衛(wèi)生出版社出版的普通高等教育“十一五”國家級規(guī)劃教材《基礎(chǔ)化學(xué)(第7版)》配套,適合我國的醫(yī)學(xué)教育特點(diǎn),便于英語教學(xué)和對照進(jìn)行雙語教學(xué)?! ⒓泳帉戇@本教材的老師一般都有豐富的英語教學(xué)和雙語教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn),也有目前正在國外的留學(xué)人員。他們參加編寫了或仔細(xì)研讀了《基礎(chǔ)化學(xué)(第7版)》,吸取國外相近教材的經(jīng)驗(yàn),對照編寫了這本書的內(nèi)容。感謝華中科技大學(xué)外語學(xué)院張開平教授,他修改審定了本書部分章節(jié)的英語修辭。感謝FordKatirai博士,他審讀了這本教材的部分內(nèi)容并提出了很好的意見。希望讀者對教材使用中發(fā)現(xiàn)的不足給予批評指正。

Nature is composed of substance, which has twoforms, matter and field. Matter has rest mass, such asmolecules, atoms and electronics, etc. Field, such aselectric field, magnetic field, etc., has no rest mass. Matter,also customarily known as substance, is the major objectstudied in chemistry. Chemistry is a science that studiesthe composition, the structure, properties and the rules ofchange in matter at atomic-molecular level. The history of chemistry can be divided intothree periods. In ancient and medieval times before themiddle of the seventeenth century, chemistry was notborn as a science; the chemical knowledge of humanrace came from the specific art process for practicaluse, such as alchemy, medicine and so on. Later fTomthe second half of the 17th century to the end of the19~ century, the theories of scientific elements and theatom-molecule were successively put forward, andthe periodic rule of chemical elements was found, thesystem of comparatively complete inorganic chemistryand chemical theory were formed. At the same time,carbon tetrahedron structure and benzene ring structureof six members were established, which promotedthe development of organic chemistry. The theory ofphysical chemistry was constructed in virtue of physicsachievement. The measurement of atomic weight (nowcalled relative atomic mass) and the componentialanalysis of substance facilitated the development ofanalytical chemistry.
