前言
經(jīng)全國(guó)高等醫(yī)藥院校教材建設(shè)研究會(huì)、衛(wèi)生部教材辦公室研究決定,2009年5月在湖北省襄樊市召開(kāi)了“高職高專臨床醫(yī)學(xué)專業(yè)五年一貫制衛(wèi)生部規(guī)劃教材主編人會(huì)議”,啟動(dòng)了本套教材的改版編寫(xiě)工作?! 「鶕?jù)全國(guó)醫(yī)學(xué)高等職業(yè)技術(shù)教育衛(wèi)生部規(guī)劃教材的編寫(xiě)原則,以及醫(yī)學(xué)職業(yè)技術(shù)教育的特點(diǎn),本套英語(yǔ)教材第2版的編寫(xiě)以“必需、夠用”為度,強(qiáng)調(diào)打好語(yǔ)言基礎(chǔ)和培養(yǎng)語(yǔ)言應(yīng)用能力并重,突出基本原理、基本知識(shí)、基本技能,注重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用能力,體現(xiàn)教材的實(shí)用性和先進(jìn)性,以滿足高職高專學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)需求和社會(huì)就業(yè)需求?! ∫罁?jù)高等職業(yè)教育英語(yǔ)課程教學(xué)要求,以及本教材第1版使用情況調(diào)查,編寫(xiě)組對(duì)第2版進(jìn)行了如下調(diào)整和修訂: 1.本套教材由原來(lái)的50個(gè)單元縮減為36個(gè)單元,供216-228學(xué)時(shí)使用?! ?.各單元結(jié)構(gòu)一致,每個(gè)單元包括4部分內(nèi)容:會(huì)話、課文A、課文B以及語(yǔ)法知識(shí)或?qū)嵱脤?xiě)作; 3.語(yǔ)法知識(shí)從初中語(yǔ)法開(kāi)始銜接,逐步增加新知識(shí);寫(xiě)作為日常實(shí)用寫(xiě)作和醫(yī)用寫(xiě)作;語(yǔ)法和寫(xiě)作內(nèi)容間隔安排在各單元中。 4.給所有生詞注上音標(biāo),把短語(yǔ)和專有名詞從原來(lái)的詞匯表中分開(kāi)單列。 5.課文A后補(bǔ)充了閱讀理解TrueorFalse和句型結(jié)構(gòu)Structure兩項(xiàng)練習(xí),替換原有的短語(yǔ)翻譯和完形填空。

There are thousands of languages in the world. Each language seems to be the mostimportant to those who speak it as their native language. This is not strange at all, seeingthat it is the language they learned at their mothers knees and may be the only languagemany of them will ever know all their lives. The importance of a language can be judged according to several things. The first isthe number of native speakers that a language happens to have. The second is how widelythe native speakers are distributed over the world. Next comes the cultural, economic andpolitical influence of those who speak it as their mother tongue. There can be no doubt now that English is one of the worlds most widely usedlanguages. People use a language in three ways. as a native language, as a secondlanguage, or as a foreign language. English is spoken as a native language by nearly 300million people: in the United States, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, someCaribbean countries, and South Africa. As a second language, English is often necessaryfor official, business, education, information and other activities in a great many countriessuch as India, Pakistan, Singapore, and the Philippines. It is one of the few “working”languages of the United Nations and is more frequently used than the others.
