前言

　　隨著國家對中等職業(yè)教育的高度重視，為了適應(yīng)教育教學(xué)改革的需要，進(jìn)一步推動教育教學(xué)改革的深入發(fā)展，幫助中等職業(yè)學(xué)校學(xué)生更為科學(xué)、扎實、全面地掌握教材講授的內(nèi)容，我們組織了一些多年從事一線教育，具有豐富教學(xué)經(jīng)驗的優(yōu)秀教師，依據(jù)教育部最新頒布的教學(xué)大綱編寫了本書。我們在編寫過程中力求做到：　　本書對學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)中可能會碰到的重點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn)都做了詳盡的分析，獨(dú)到新穎的選材也給學(xué)生注入了新的學(xué)習(xí)興趣?！　榱耸箤W(xué)生在復(fù)習(xí)過程中有一個明確的思路，在編寫本書時，我們嚴(yán)格遵照大綱要求設(shè)計了以下3個板塊，即　　前兩大板塊對基礎(chǔ)知識、重點(diǎn)難點(diǎn)進(jìn)行了詳盡的講解，第三版塊的單元練習(xí)使學(xué)生可以鞏固教材知識，并拓展知識面。在每個單元的前面配以意味雋永的名人名言，這不僅能夠使學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)中領(lǐng)悟人生哲理，而且還真正達(dá)到了使學(xué)習(xí)逐漸成為一種享受的共同愿望。

　　Living in big cities are not quite different in many parts of the world. The same can not be said about living on farms.　　In China， farmers and their families live in villages or towns near which are the fields that they cultivate. Farmers come to the fields before the sunrise and after the sunset. They usually go to a fair every other a few days. However， farmers in America are different from those in China. Each farm family lives on its own fields， often beyond the sight of any neighbours. They stay on their fields throughout the week. They travel to the nearest town on Saturdays for shopping or on Sundays for church.　　Of course， today life keeps changing for everyone， including farmers in China and America. They have cars， good roads， radios， television sets and modern machines for farming.All of these have changed farm life.
