China's urbanization process is facing a
number of major issues. To follow the "scientific concept of
development" requirements, this book learns and summarizes the
historical experience and lessons at home and abroad, and through a
comprehensive analysis of multi-disciplinary research, explores the
urban planning system reform.
 This book focuses on building a government at
all levels of urbanization and urban development planning control
mechanism, a balanced regional development mechanisms, planning and
administrative constraints and social supervision mechanisms. By
means of narrative analysis, selforganization theory and new
institutional Economics theories and methods, the author studies
the content of urban planning system, laws. and direction of reform
and innovation, and draws some useful new discussion and
recommendations. Through al the changes in urban planning, the book
aims to promote scientific and healthy development of China's
urbanization.
