內容概要

《建筑類專業(yè)英語》是以大學英語“通用詞匯表”的4000個單詞為起點，每個專業(yè)類別的三冊書將增加1000～1200個閱讀本專業(yè)必需掌握的詞匯。本教材重視語言技能訓練，突出對閱讀、翻譯和寫作能力的培養(yǎng)，以求達到《大學英語專業(yè)閱讀階段教學基本要求》所提出的教學目標：“通過指導學生閱讀有關專業(yè)的英語書刊和文獻，使他們進一步提高閱讀和翻譯科技資料的能力，并能以英語為工具獲取專業(yè)所需的信息。”    《建筑類專業(yè)英語》每冊16個單元，每個單元一篇正課文（TEXT），兩篇副課文（Reading Material A＆B），每個單元平均2000個詞，三冊48個單元，總共約有十萬個詞，相當于原版書三百多頁。要培養(yǎng)較強的閱讀能力，讀十萬個詞的文獻，是起碼的要求。如果專業(yè)課教師在第六和第七學期，在學生通過學習本教材已經(jīng)掌握了數(shù)百個專業(yè)科技詞匯的基礎上，配合專業(yè)課程的學習，再指定學生看一部分相應的專業(yè)英語科技文獻，那將會既促進專業(yè)課的學習，又提高英語閱讀能力，實為兩得之舉。    本教材不僅適用于在校學生，對于有志提高專業(yè)英語閱讀能力的建筑行業(yè)廣大在職工程技術人員，也是一套適用的自學教材。
