內(nèi)容概要

該教材為授課教師編寫，適合于英語專業(yè)高年級(jí)學(xué)生，非英語專業(yè)碩士生、博士生，及其他英語高級(jí)學(xué)習(xí)者。取材于英美各大報(bào)刊，具有獨(dú)特的風(fēng)格。課文內(nèi)容按國際重大熱點(diǎn)話題分類，薈萃了國際政治、國際關(guān)系、軍事、科技、文化、經(jīng)濟(jì)的最新動(dòng)態(tài)。為加深學(xué)生對(duì)各專題的了解，各單元均附有詳盡的注釋以及用英語編寫的相關(guān)閱讀材料、背景參考和討論題。    本書有如下特點(diǎn)：1 突破以了同類教材在題材和體裁方面的狹隘性。    2 附有英文報(bào)刊閱讀常識(shí)介紹。    3 新詞數(shù)量大，有些詞匯不易查到，其他英語課本中很少出現(xiàn)。    4 用英文編寫的背景材料簡(jiǎn)明扼要，盡量反映專題的歷史、文化背景。入選文章截止在2002年10月份。    5 采用中、英文、注釋詳細(xì)，難句子附有相應(yīng)的譯文。    6 課后備有討論題，有助于學(xué)生了解重點(diǎn)話題及其動(dòng)向。    7 各單元附有相關(guān)問題的文章，可作為學(xué)生討論課前或課后了解熱點(diǎn)話題的輔助讀物。    8 在保證原文風(fēng)貌的基礎(chǔ)上，刪除對(duì)中國不友好的詞句或在注釋中作必要的說明。
