內(nèi)容概要

　　《通識(shí)教育英語(yǔ)讀本》的編寫(xiě)，其基本宗旨，是試圖把人文素質(zhì)教育（liberal education）與英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)結(jié)合起來(lái)。目前市面上有各式各樣的商務(wù)英語(yǔ)、旅游英語(yǔ)、文秘英語(yǔ)，卻少有以人文素質(zhì)教育為專(zhuān)門(mén)指向的人文英語(yǔ)或通識(shí)英語(yǔ)。本書(shū)的出版，意在填補(bǔ)這方面的空白?！　【臀业囊?jiàn)聞所及，此前，中國(guó)，乃至世界，很少有人把liberal 一詞與English -詞聯(lián)在一起使用，更少有誰(shuí)把它拿來(lái)作為一本書(shū)的書(shū)名。所以，僅從書(shū)名看，本書(shū)在2007年作為自編教材在四川大學(xué)錦城學(xué)院率先推出之際，應(yīng)該說(shuō)已經(jīng)是一個(gè)首創(chuàng)。
