高級綜合英語教程

前言

　　《高級綜合英語教程》是為新世紀(jì)師范類高等學(xué)校英語專業(yè)高年級學(xué)生編寫的綜合英語教科書?！陡呒壘C合英語教程》共4冊，第1冊和第2冊各含16個單元，第3冊和第4冊各含13個單元。每個單元由兩篇課文組成，分成四大部分：語言技能訓(xùn)練、語言訓(xùn)練、拓展訓(xùn)練和教師技能訓(xùn)練。第一部分和第二部分都圍繞課文1展開?！罢Z言技能訓(xùn)練”著重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生綜合使用語言的能力。該部分設(shè)有“讀前”、“讀中”和“讀后”語言技能活動，以閱讀為主線，帶動口頭表達(dá)和書面表達(dá)，以提高讀、說、寫的能力。第二部分為“語言訓(xùn)練”，注重對詞匯、結(jié)構(gòu)、語義、修辭、語篇、文體等進(jìn)行分析和操練，以提高學(xué)生的語言敏感性和文化意識。拓展訓(xùn)練包括課文2和語言知識拓展。課文2是課文1的拓展閱讀，是對課文1的主題、體裁和技能的延伸，目的是增加閱讀量，擴(kuò)大知識面，提高閱讀理解能力?！巴卣褂?xùn)練”設(shè)有語言知識及使用，旨在較為系統(tǒng)地總結(jié)和歸納中國學(xué)生語言學(xué)習(xí)中的重點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn)，進(jìn)一步拓展未來英語教師應(yīng)該掌握的語言知識和技能技巧。第3冊和第4冊適合于即將畢業(yè)的學(xué)生，內(nèi)容的安排和練習(xí)的設(shè)計有所側(cè)重，如加大了課文難度，增加了文學(xué)體裁文章，擴(kuò)大了閱讀量，以增強(qiáng)修辭和文學(xué)欣賞能力的培養(yǎng)。教師技能訓(xùn)練是本教材的重要特色，旨在系統(tǒng)全面介紹和操練英語教師應(yīng)該掌握的主要教學(xué)技能技巧?！　”窘滩牡木帉懽裱越浑H活動帶動教學(xué)的原則，突出以學(xué)生為主體的語言運(yùn)用活動。教材的練習(xí)活動設(shè)計注意培養(yǎng)學(xué)生獨(dú)立分析問題和解決問題的能力，注重篇章的整體教學(xué)。在教學(xué)方法上既保留了傳統(tǒng)的被實踐證明行之有效的語言訓(xùn)練形式，又引進(jìn)了較為先進(jìn)的體驗性閱讀和研究性閱讀等活動，形式豐富多彩，相得益彰?！　”窘滩氖恰毒C合英語教程》的修訂版?！毒C合英語教程》自2001年出版以來，被眾多高校采用，受到師生的好評。期間，我們注意不斷收集意見，并進(jìn)行了廣泛調(diào)查研究，在此基礎(chǔ)上對下述諸方面進(jìn)行了修訂：1.更換部分課文，包括相應(yīng)的活動練習(xí)，使得體裁和題材更加多樣化，課文難易合適，長短相宜，增強(qiáng)了課文的趣味性和可讀性；2.對部分課文的先后順序進(jìn)行了調(diào)整，做到從易到難，循序漸進(jìn)；3.增添和更換了部分練習(xí)，增加了語篇知識和語篇分析分量；4.將第1、2冊的“教師小貼士”改為“教師技能訓(xùn)練”，并從第1、2冊延伸到第3、4冊，彰顯了師范特色；5.更換了原來簡單的目錄，增加了詳細(xì)內(nèi)容一覽表，讓師生對教材每單元的主題、課文、主要練習(xí)和活動、拓展訓(xùn)練和教師技能訓(xùn)練的具體內(nèi)容一目了然，以使教材更便于使用。

內(nèi)容概要

本書是教育部師范教育司組織編寫的高等師范教材。本冊共由13個單元組成，每個單元含兩篇課文，分成四大部分：語言技能訓(xùn)練、語言訓(xùn)練、拓展訓(xùn)練和教師技能訓(xùn)練。練習(xí)設(shè)計多樣，有利于培養(yǎng)學(xué)生獨(dú)立思考和獨(dú)立解決問題的能力。    本書可供高等師范英語專業(yè)學(xué)生使用，亦可供非英語專業(yè)人員和廣大英語愛好者自學(xué)英語之用。

　　But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into. the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force. The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro Community must not lead　　us to a distrust of all white people， for many of our white brothers， as evidenced by their presence here today， have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone.　　And as we walk， we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights，“When will you be satisfied?” We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality. We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies， heavy with the fatigue of travel， cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the Negros basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one.
