前言

  本書(shū)是與《表達(dá)英語(yǔ)綜合教程》(以下簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng)《教程》)1-4冊(cè)相配套的教師用書(shū),主要供教師備課和授課時(shí)參考使用。全書(shū)共分為兩冊(cè),第1冊(cè)與《教程》第1、2冊(cè)配合使用,第2冊(cè)與《教程》第3、4冊(cè)配合使用,分別提供每單元丁ext A中的以讀促思(Read t0.rhink)、以讀促說(shuō)(Read to Speak)、以讀促寫(xiě)(Read to Write)、以讀促譯(Read toTranslate)、語(yǔ)言研習(xí)(Language Studies)五個(gè)部分的答案和Text B中的細(xì)讀(Reading for Details)、略讀(Reading for Main Ideas)兩個(gè)部分的答案,以及兩套模擬測(cè)試題的參考答案。  《表達(dá)英語(yǔ)綜合教程》共4冊(cè),供高等院校英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)本科1-2年級(jí)基礎(chǔ)階段使用。具體使用建議如下:每學(xué)期使用一冊(cè),每?jī)?cè)共分12個(gè)單元,每單元教學(xué)時(shí)間為6課時(shí),也可根據(jù)各院校教學(xué)計(jì)劃而定。每個(gè)單元圍繞一個(gè)主題,包含兩篇課文(主、副課文各一篇)。每6個(gè)單元結(jié)束后設(shè)計(jì)一套復(fù)習(xí)測(cè)試題,檢查和鞏固學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)水平。每單元具體由以下9個(gè)部分組成:  每單元精選一句語(yǔ)言精練、思想內(nèi)容深刻并且與該單元內(nèi)容有一定聯(lián)系的經(jīng)典名句,如諺語(yǔ)、歇后語(yǔ)、名言等,要求學(xué)生課前熟記或背誦,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的世界觀(guān)和道德情操,使學(xué)生盡快進(jìn)入該單元的學(xué)習(xí)狀態(tài)?! @本單元的主題和課文內(nèi)容開(kāi)展相關(guān)的課堂導(dǎo)入活動(dòng),要求學(xué)生查找資料,就課文將要涉及的內(nèi)容了解相關(guān)背景信息,開(kāi)展交流和討論。

  1 went to Catholic schools in Minnesota,and we didnt have school uniforms,but we did have to wearsome kind of blouse and skirt no jearls or T-shirts.So,when I CalTle to Cambridge,1 wasnt as uptight asthose people who came from schools where there really were uniforms.But soon I found dleres a‘uniform’here too,and if you dont wear it,you’ll pay a price.Here,the scruffier the better.If youlook neat and tidy:and your hair is combed and youre wearing a dress and some jewelry:people willthink you’re on your way to a job interview:or something has happened.2.Free Speaking Sample Speaking  In France,school uniforms were phased out four decades ago amid widespread demand for democracy:freedom and individuality.Since then,school students have been wearing whatever they want as an expression of personal identity.However:the government has gradually realized the problems caused by this practice.Some teenagers are dressed in an extremely inappropriate way.For instance’some teenager girls wear their trousers so low down the waist that their pierced navels can be seen.Also,parents are dismayed to find the existence of a certainvying craze at school with regard to designer brands.Many people begin to ask whether it is a good thing to give young people so much freedom in choosing what to wear for school.The appeal by some educators of “Return of the school uniform”also reflects their deep concern about these youngsters.Therefore, school presidents are being urged to bring back the uniform in an attempt to improve school discipline of the students.In the long run,it may contribute to social stability and order.
