前言

　　《全明星英語(yǔ)》立體化系列教材是在麥格勞一希爾公司出版的All-Star系列教材的基礎(chǔ)上，結(jié)合中國(guó)成人高等教育英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的實(shí)際改編而成的。改編后的，《全明星英語(yǔ)》系列教材無(wú)論是教學(xué)內(nèi)容還是教學(xué)方法都更加符合我國(guó)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的實(shí)際需要，不僅為成年人學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)提供了難得的好教材，同時(shí)也適用于高職高專英語(yǔ)教學(xué)?！　≡瓡菫榱藢ｉT幫助美國(guó)文化水平較低的成年人（尤其是外國(guó)移民）提高他們的英語(yǔ)基本語(yǔ)言技能而編寫的教材，編者多是有多年教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)的教師。全書所涉及的技能有：1）語(yǔ)言文字技能：聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫語(yǔ)言技能；基本語(yǔ)法和發(fā)音技能以及運(yùn)用和演算數(shù)字的技能；2）處理日常生活的語(yǔ)言技能：涉及消費(fèi)、環(huán)境保護(hù)、家庭和子女養(yǎng)育、政府和社區(qū)、合作、利用資源和服務(wù)、健康和營(yíng)養(yǎng)、人際交往、學(xué)習(xí)策略、安全保衛(wèi)、電話通訊、時(shí)間和貨幣、交通和旅行等諸多方面；3）勞動(dòng)就業(yè)語(yǔ)言技能：涉及應(yīng)用技術(shù)、保持就業(yè)、求職等諸多方面?！　≡诟木庍^(guò)程中，我們堅(jiān)持突出All-Star的“大圖”（Big Picture）特色，同時(shí)保持了其聽(tīng)說(shuō)活動(dòng)和會(huì)話策略的優(yōu)點(diǎn)。在此基礎(chǔ)上我們做了一些調(diào)整，從而更好地滿足中國(guó)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的需求。具體改編內(nèi)容如下：1）為了便于初學(xué)者學(xué)習(xí)，在第一冊(cè)中增加了指示語(yǔ)、會(huì)話和課文的中文譯文；2）為了配合各單元的主題內(nèi)容的訓(xùn)練，增加了英漢互譯練習(xí)（Supplemental Translation Exercises）；3）為了更有效地訓(xùn)練語(yǔ)法內(nèi)容，在原教材語(yǔ)法訓(xùn)練內(nèi)容前面增加了簡(jiǎn)要的中文說(shuō)明，便于學(xué)習(xí)者掌握語(yǔ)法規(guī)則；4）在單元測(cè)驗(yàn)（Test）中增加了英漢互譯習(xí)題；5）每單元后面增設(shè)了詞匯表（Words＆Expressions），方便學(xué)生進(jìn)行詞匯學(xué)習(xí)；6）對(duì)All-Star—TeachersEdition進(jìn)行了微調(diào)：①在文前增加了“教法及教材使用說(shuō)明”；②將文后的Big。Picture Expansion和WorkbookAnswer Key移到了《學(xué)習(xí)輔導(dǎo)與自測(cè)》的文后；③保留了。
