Discrete subgroups of Lie groups are foundational objects in modern mathematics and occur naturally in different subjects. This volume is a collection of 15 papers on discrete groups, covering many topics related to the themes such as algebra, analysis, geometry, number theory and topology. 作者簡介

季理真教授，現(xiàn)任美國密歇根大學教授、浙江大學光彪特聘教授。1964年4月生于溫州。1984年獲杭州大學理學學士學位，1985年赴美在丘成桐教授指導下研習數(shù)學。1987年在加州大學圣亞哥分校獲得理學碩士學位，1991年在美國東北大學獲得理學博士學位。先后在美國麻省理工學院，普林斯頓高等研究所從事研究工作，1995年至今任教于美國密歇根大學數(shù)學系，從2002年開始兼任浙江大學數(shù)學科學研究中心高級教授。曾獲得P.Sloan研究獎，以及美國自然科學基金會數(shù)學科學博士后獎。
