前言

  《英語(一般版)》系列教材是在《英語(基本版)》系列教材的基礎(chǔ)上根據(jù)2000年8月教育部頒布的《中等職業(yè)學(xué)校英語教學(xué)大綱(試行)》(以下簡稱《大綱》)中基本要求編寫而成,包括《英語(一般版)》1~3冊和《英語教師手冊(一般版)》1~3冊,學(xué)生用書配有錄音帶。本系列教材體現(xiàn)素質(zhì)教育和能力本位的精神,注重交際應(yīng)用,突出職教特色,主要特點(diǎn)歸納如下:  1溫故知新。平穩(wěn)過渡  本系列教材第一冊從300詞開始并復(fù)習(xí)初中全部語音和語法項(xiàng)目,并在此基礎(chǔ)上過渡到中職英語教學(xué)內(nèi)容,因此更加貼近中職英語教學(xué)的實(shí)際情況。第二、三冊教材覆蓋《大綱》的基本要求,學(xué)完本教材既鞏固了初中的教學(xué)內(nèi)容又能達(dá)到《大綱》的基本要求?! ?以話題為綱和以綜合英語為基礎(chǔ)  本系列教材每個(gè)教學(xué)單元的各種教學(xué)活動都圍繞一個(gè)與學(xué)生日常生活密切相關(guān)的話題進(jìn)行,由“綜合英語”向“聽”、“說”、“讀”、“寫”等交際技能和詞匯、語法等語言項(xiàng)目輻射。同時(shí)體現(xiàn)語言項(xiàng)目是交際的手段、交際能力是教學(xué)的目的的教學(xué)思想,把語言知識作為交際的手段來教,把交際能力作為教學(xué)的目標(biāo)來培養(yǎng),既重視語言知識的傳授,更重視交際能力的培養(yǎng)?!  奥牎?、“說”活動圍繞單元話題并結(jié)合交際功能,體現(xiàn)《大綱》突出實(shí)用性的要求?!熬C合英語”模塊以相關(guān)話題為綱編寫,詞匯、語法的教學(xué)圍繞相關(guān)話題進(jìn)行?!翱焖匍喿x”進(jìn)一步培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的閱讀能力。

  One morning, there was something wrong with the familys clock and when theygot up, it was too late for Mary to catch the school bus. Her mother said she woulddrive Mary to school on her way to the office.  "But how will you find the way, Mum?" Mary asked, youve only been to schoolonce." "Yes," her mother answered, "but youve been there by school bus severaltimes, you know the way." "Oh, yes." said Mary.  They started out and Mary asked her mother to turn one way or another on theirway to school, so she made her mother drive round most of the town before they gotthere. When they arrived, her mother saw that it was not really very far from their house.  "Why ever did you make me go such a long way?" her mother asked her. "Well,Mum," answered Mary, "1 know only this way. The bus always goes like this, so theother children can take it to school."
