內(nèi)容概要
為適應(yīng)我國高等教育發(fā)展的新形勢,深化教學改革,提高教學質(zhì)量,滿足新時期國家和社會對人才培養(yǎng)的需要,特制定《大學英語課程教學要求》(以下簡稱《課程要求》),作為各高等學校組織非英語專業(yè)本科生英語教學的主要依據(jù)。 鑒于全國高等學校的教學資源、學生入學水平以及所面臨的社會需求等不盡相同,各高等學校應(yīng)參照《課程要求》,根據(jù)本校的實際情況,制定科學、系統(tǒng)、個性化的大學英語教學大綱,指導本校的大學英語教學。 大學英語教學是高等教育的一個有機組成部分,大學英語課程是大學生的一門必修的基礎(chǔ)課程。大學英語是以外語教學理論為指導,以英語語言知識與應(yīng)用技能、跨文化交際和學習策略為主要內(nèi)容,并集多種教學模式和教學手段為一體的教學體系。 大學英語的教學目標是培養(yǎng)學生的英語綜合應(yīng)用能力,特別是聽說能力,使他們在今后學習、工作和社會交往中能用英語有效地進行交際,同時增強其自主學習能力,提高綜合文化素養(yǎng),以適應(yīng)我國社會發(fā)展和國際交流的需要。

Taking into account the schools circumstances, colleges and universities should follow the guidelines of the Requirements and the goals of their College English teaching in designing their College English course systems. A course system, which is a combination of required and elective courses in comprehensive English, language skills, English for practical uses, language and culture, and English of specialty, should ensure that students at different levels receive adequate training and make improvement in their ability to use English. In designing College English courses, requirements for cultivating competence in listening and speaking should be fully considered, and corresponding teaching hours and credits should be adequately allocated.Moreover, the extensive use of advanced information technology should be encouraged, computer-and Web-based courses should be developed,and students should be provided with favorable environment and facilities for language learning. College English is not only a language course that provides basic knowledge about English, but also a capacity enhancement course that helps students to broaden their horizons and learn about different cultures in the world. It not only serves as an instrument, but also has humanistic values. When designing College English courses, therefore, it is necessary to take into full consideration the development of studentscultural capacity and the teaching of knowledge about different cultures in the world.
