前言

　　《英語》系列教材的培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)是：1.掌握一定的英語基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)和技能；2.具有閱讀和翻譯有關(guān)業(yè)務(wù)英語資料的能力；3.訓(xùn)練進(jìn)行簡單的日常和涉外會(huì)話的初步能力；4.培養(yǎng)模擬套寫簡單信函等涉外業(yè)務(wù)應(yīng)用文的能力?！　≈鹘滩模础队⒄Z》）和自學(xué)同步教材（即《英語學(xué)習(xí)輔導(dǎo)書》）兩種學(xué)生用書各分4冊(cè)。第一冊(cè)為預(yù)備教材，詞匯起點(diǎn)為800詞，主要目的是幫助英語水平低于《基本要求》規(guī)定的學(xué)生，復(fù)習(xí)鞏固中學(xué)已學(xué)過的語音、語法、詞匯，為進(jìn)一步學(xué)習(xí)打下基礎(chǔ)。為了便于初學(xué)者使用本書，從第5次印刷開始，書后加附了基本語音知識(shí)、基本語法知識(shí)和基本詞匯。第二冊(cè)的重點(diǎn)是簡單句的基本語法和基本句式的聽說讀寫譯等基本技能的訓(xùn)練，并注意把語言基本功訓(xùn)練與實(shí)際涉外活動(dòng)結(jié)合起來，使英語學(xué)習(xí)從一開始就能貫徹學(xué)用結(jié)合，學(xué)一點(diǎn)、用一點(diǎn)的原則。第三、四冊(cè)在側(cè)重閱讀基本技能訓(xùn)練和語法應(yīng)用能力提高的同時(shí)，繼續(xù)進(jìn)行聽說讀寫譯的綜合訓(xùn)練，并引入涉外交際資料的閱讀、翻譯和套寫訓(xùn)練，將讀譯寫技能的培養(yǎng)作為教學(xué)重點(diǎn)，把培養(yǎng)學(xué)生實(shí)際使用英語去處理業(yè)務(wù)工作中的涉外交際活動(dòng)的能力作為最終目標(biāo)?！　　队⒄Z學(xué)習(xí)輔導(dǎo)書》包括主教材學(xué)習(xí)重點(diǎn)提示、自學(xué)同步練習(xí)、主教材練習(xí)參考答案三部分。其中自學(xué)同步練習(xí)既與《英語》緊密配合，又不相互重復(fù)。與《英語》相比，自學(xué)同步練習(xí)遵循“自學(xué)、自練、自測”的原則，選材內(nèi)容更簡短、生動(dòng)，訓(xùn)練方式與形式更靈活多樣，并適時(shí)提供自測試題供學(xué)生檢測自己的學(xué)習(xí)成果?？紤]到學(xué)生自學(xué)的特點(diǎn)，其聽說訓(xùn)練以聽力訓(xùn)練為主，聽錄音遍數(shù)也不強(qiáng)求一致，學(xué)生可根據(jù)自己的實(shí)際需要播放兩或三遍；讀譯寫部分以讀懂理解為主，所配的少量練習(xí)是為了幫助學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)擴(kuò)大詞匯和鞏固語法的。因此，同時(shí)使用這兩套用書，會(huì)收到相得益彰的效果?！　榱朔奖銓W(xué)生自學(xué)，從第5次印刷開始，書后加附了主教材和自學(xué)同步練習(xí)的全部課文的參考譯文。
