英語綜合練習3

前言

　　《英語》（高職高專版）系列教材是根據教育部2000年頒發(fā)的《高職高專英語課程教學基本要求（試行）》（以下簡稱《基本要求》）編寫的，是“教育部高職高專規(guī)劃教材”。本套教材的培養(yǎng)目標是培養(yǎng)學生在中國環(huán)境下使用英語進行涉外交際的能力。具體涉及四個方面：1.使學生掌握一定的英語基礎知識和技能，2.使學生具有閱讀和翻譯有關業(yè)務英語資料的能力，3.訓練學生進行簡單的日常和涉外會話的初步能力；4.培養(yǎng)學生模擬套寫簡單信函等涉外業(yè)務應用文的能力。　　本套教材由主教材《英語》1－4冊、《英語綜合練習》1-4冊及《英語教師參考書》1-4冊組成。每冊學生用書均配有錄音磁帶。　　《英語》第一冊為預備教材，詞匯起點為800詞，主要目的是幫助英語水平低于《基本要求》規(guī)定的學生，復習鞏固中學階段已學過的語音、語法、詞匯，為進一步學習打下基礎。為了便于初學者使用本書，書后附有基本語音知識、基本語法知識和基本詞匯。

內容概要

《英語》（高職高專版）系列教材是“教育部高職高專規(guī)劃教材”，供高職高專非英語專業(yè)低起點學生使用，2000年正式出版發(fā)行。為使本套教材更趨完善，編寫組結合這幾年使用《英語》的教學情況對《英語》（高職高專版）進行了修訂，修訂后的《英語》（高職高專版）（第二版）更貼近2000年教育部頒布的《高職高專教育英語課程教學基本要求（試行）》，更能將學生語言基本功的訓練與實際的涉外活動結合起來。    本書為《英語綜合練習3》（第二版）。內容包括與《英語3》（第二版）中10個單元同步的自學練習及其答案、同步練習中全部課文的參考譯文及詞匯表。同步練習的各個單元，通過形式多樣的練習、重點訓練主教材出現(xiàn)的詞匯、結構，以提高學生聽、說、讀、寫、譯等各項技能。書中還有2套白測試題，便于學生自檢、自測。

　　Mike was a farmer who lived in a village far away.One day he becamevery ill and everyone thought he would die.They sent for a doctor，who arrivedtwo days later and examined the sick man.The doctor asked for a pen and somepaper to write down the name of the medicine.But there was no pen or paperin the village，because no one could read or write。The doctor picked up a piece of burned wood from the fire.Using thewood，he wrote the name of the medicine on the door of the house.“Get thismedicine for him，”he said，“and he will soon get better.”Mike’S family and friends did not know what to do.They could not readthe strange writing.Then the village baker had an idea.He took off the doorof the house，put it on his cart and drove to the nearest town.He bought themedicine and Mike was soon well again.He would not let anyone wash themagic words from the door.
