前言

  英語閱讀能力的培養(yǎng)是大學(xué)英語教學(xué)的重要任務(wù)。對(duì)此,《大學(xué)英語課程教學(xué)要求(試行)》做出了定性定量的要求。閱讀不僅是獲取信息的主要手段,也是學(xué)習(xí)和掌握語言的有效途徑。對(duì)于廣大非英語專業(yè)大學(xué)生而言,只有通過大量閱讀,才能獲得充足的語言輸入,進(jìn)而打下扎實(shí)的英語基礎(chǔ),形成較強(qiáng)的英語語感,提高英語綜合應(yīng)用能力。  培養(yǎng)英語閱讀能力一方面要依賴足夠的閱讀實(shí)踐,在閱讀中學(xué)會(huì)閱讀;另一方面,能動(dòng)地運(yùn)用元認(rèn)知策略,理性地改進(jìn)閱讀方法,積極地提高英語閱讀技能,無疑能對(duì)培養(yǎng)較強(qiáng)的閱讀能力起到事半功倍的作用?! ∮⒄Z閱讀能力包含多種要素,而快速處理閱讀材料所輸入信息的能力是其中極其重要的微技能,這一點(diǎn)早巳為閱讀研究者所認(rèn)識(shí)。Grabe(1991)曾經(jīng)指出:“…a description 0f reading has t0 account for the notions that f]uentreading is rapid,purposeful,interactiVe,comprehending,flexible,and gradually developing.”。Taylor(1975)也強(qiáng)調(diào)“readinghastobefasttobe successful”。一定的閱讀速度是獲取主要信息所必需的,是保持閱讀興趣、專注于閱讀內(nèi)容所要求的。尤其是在當(dāng)今這個(gè)“信息爆炸”、新知識(shí)以幾何級(jí)增長(zhǎng)的時(shí)代,快速閱讀技能的重要性愈加突出。這樣,快速閱讀技能的培養(yǎng)也就必然成為大學(xué)英語教學(xué)的要?jiǎng)?wù)。而大學(xué)英語教學(xué)中要致力于快速閱讀教學(xué),就需要有適當(dāng)?shù)慕滩淖髦?,適用的教材是保證教學(xué)活動(dòng)順利開展的必要條件。《大學(xué)體驗(yàn)英語快速閱讀教程》的編寫正是為了滿足目前國(guó)內(nèi)大學(xué)英語教學(xué)的這一實(shí)際需要。  本教程的編寫以《大學(xué)英語課程教學(xué)要求(試行)》為依據(jù)?! ”窘坛坦菜膬?cè),每?jī)?cè)含1 8個(gè)單元,可供大學(xué)英語教學(xué)1~4學(xué)期使用(按每學(xué)期18周,每周一個(gè)單元計(jì))。各冊(cè)中每單元分Text A和Text B(一篇用于課堂,另一篇供課后練習(xí))。每?jī)?cè)配有“Introduction to Important Readingstrategies and Skills”。本教程的編寫采取“主題與技能”相結(jié)合的模式,即單元設(shè)置圍繞內(nèi)容主題,練習(xí)設(shè)計(jì)針對(duì)閱讀技能與文章內(nèi)容。第一、二冊(cè)練習(xí)包括多項(xiàng)選擇與正誤判斷兩種題型,第三、四冊(cè)練習(xí)包括多項(xiàng)選擇與簡(jiǎn)短問答兩種題型。書后附有全書練習(xí)的參考答案。

Having a great resume is not enough.You must take initiative and  package yourself favorably to attract the best employers,and that means  getting out there and promoting yourself.  Self-promotion can be a huge challenge for many job seekers.Here’S how  to simplify the process and accelerate your progress to lessen this burden and  find your next challenge swiftly.  1.Prepare for the project.  U nderstand that there is work to be done and no easy way out of it.  Ideally,a headhunter(獵頭)would do the work and find you,but don’t count  on this happening,especially in todayt S envi ronment.where more and more  companies are handling employing in-house(內(nèi)部地)to reduce expenses.  You have to rely on your own personal initiative to open doors.Its uD to you  to put your best forward by preparing for the meeting:research the company  and the individual you are meeting and figu re out how you can add value to  the company by solving problems with you r unique skills and characteristics.  Even if the employer seeks you out,you still need to demonstrate that you can  deliver what they expect from a winning candidate.  2.Don’t overextend you rself.
