新編實用英語綜合教程4

前言

　　根據(jù)《普通高等?？朴⒄Z課程教學基本要求》編寫的《實用英語》（1995年出版）為高等?？朴⒄Z教學改革起到了導向與規(guī)范作用，取得了開拓性的成果。該教材既重視語言基本技能的訓練，又在很大程度上體現(xiàn)了培養(yǎng)實際應用英語能力的目的。1999年，根據(jù)國家對高等?？平逃?、高等職業(yè)教育和成人高等教育實行“三教統(tǒng)籌”的精神，編寫組對《實用英語》進行了局部的修訂，使之更加符合“三教”的要求。加入WTO之后，中國與世界經濟進一步接軌，國家對高職高專的英語教學提出了更加重視實用能力培養(yǎng)的要求。因此，高職高專教育英語課程教學指導委員會（以下簡稱“課委會”）決定重編《實用英語》，以適應新形勢對高職高專英語教學改革的緊迫需要?！　　缎戮帉嵱糜⒄Z》（New Practical English）是由課委會組織全國各地有豐富教學經驗的教師編寫的。本教材既堅持了《高職高專教育英語課程教學基本要求（試行）》（以下簡稱《基本要求》的正確方向，保持和突出了《實用英語》的優(yōu)點，又反映了全面更新教學內容的實際。所謂全面更新是指在堅持《基本要求》為高職高專培養(yǎng)實用性人才和堅持“以應用為目的，實用為主，夠用為度”的大方向的前提下，進一步更新觀念、更新內容、更新體系、更新要求。這主要體現(xiàn)在如下幾個方面：　　1.嚴格按照《基本要求》編寫?！痘疽蟆分械摹督浑H范圍表》所規(guī)定的交際主題是我們選材的依據(jù)和出發(fā)點，而且讀、譯、聽、說、寫各項技能的培養(yǎng)與訓練都圍繞同一交際話題展開?！　?.進一步克服忽視聽說技能訓練的弱點，加大聽說技能、特別是實用交際能力的訓練，把培養(yǎng)一定的實用口語交際能力作為本教程的重要任務?！　?.加強對應用文等實用文體閱讀能力的培養(yǎng)，滿足在一線工作的業(yè)務人員實際的涉外交際需要。　　4.將英語應用能力的訓練具體體現(xiàn)于實用英語能力的培養(yǎng)之中。應用能力既指應用語言基本功的能力，更指把這些基本功運用到實際涉外交際中的能力。后者也可稱作“實用能力”。“應用能力”是“實用能力”的基礎，“實用能力”則是“應用能力”的具體體現(xiàn)?！　?.認真貫徹“學一點、會一點、用一點”，“聽、說、讀、寫、譯并重”和“邊學邊用、學用結合”的原則?！　?.“教、學、考”相互照應?！陡叩葘W校英語應用能力考試大綱和樣題》所規(guī)定的項目和要求都在教材中得到反映和訓練。學完《新編實用英語》第二冊可以參加“高等學校英語應用能力考試”的B級考試，學完第四冊可參加A級考試。

內容概要

　　《新編實用英語綜合教程（4）》為《綜合教程》第四冊，共10個單元，每個單元都由“說”、“聽”、“讀”和“寫”4部分組成，另有一個“趣味閱讀”部分。《新編實用英語》系列教材是由教育部高職高專教育英語課程教學指導委員會根據(jù)《高職高專教育英語課程教學基本要求（試行）》組織編寫的。本套教材認真貫徹了“學一點、會一點、用一點”，“聽、說、讀、寫、譯并重”和“邊學邊用、學用結合”的原則。注重聽說技能訓練，注重對實用文體閱讀能力的培養(yǎng)，在培養(yǎng)應用語言基本功的能力的同時注意培養(yǎng)實際涉外交際能力。　　本套教材還注重“教、學、考”相互照應。學完第二冊可參加“高等學校英語應用能力考試”的B級考試，學完第四冊可參加A級考試?！　　缎戮帉嵱糜⒄Z綜合教程（4）》四色印刷，版式精美，并配有錄音帶。

Delamar， is a pretty nice guy. He was as baffled as I was that another person shared his name. A Caucasian fellow living on the other side of the world in Canada.　　When I was a kid I wondered what it would be like to be born in a different culture， to be of a different ethnicity. Thanks to the Internet， weeks shy of my twenty-fifth birthday， I found the answer.　　Robert Delamar also exists in the Philippines. Asian， not bad looking. Curious about himself and the world. He enjoys writing random emails to strangers in foreign countries when he doesnt have much to do at the office.　　Not that different from the Canadian version.　　Timothy Leary　　Malachi has no concept of what the Internet is， and yet he exists on it. I had no idea that someone else in the world shared my name， now thanks to the Internet I do. These realities fall within the realm of odd or weird tales from the birth of the Internet generation. Yet， the Internet is more than odd or weird， it is often bizarre.
