內(nèi)容概要
本書是為《英語3(基本版)》新編的同步配套用書,共12個(gè)單元。每單元的編寫緊扣教材各單元的內(nèi)容,是單元技能訓(xùn)練和語言知識(shí)練習(xí)的擴(kuò)展與補(bǔ)充,包括:課文閱讀練習(xí)、詞匯、語法練習(xí)、補(bǔ)充閱讀練習(xí)等。新練習(xí)冊(cè)每單元的練習(xí)減少了檢測(cè)形式,增加了技能訓(xùn)練的形式。為了學(xué)考照應(yīng),每3個(gè)單元之后有一個(gè)與全國英語等級(jí)考試(PETS)形式相近的自測(cè)卷。

Everyone knows what a needle is. Of course there are many needles and needles.Needles for sewing machines, needles for injection, you name it. But few people think ofthe wonder a needle works in the hands of those who practise acupuncture (針灸療法). During the past ten years or so, I have been suffering from terrible headache. It seemsto be getting from bad to worse these days. Last night I got a sudden pain in my head. Itwas so terrible that I could hardly bear it. Although I swallowed all kinds of pain-killers, Ididnt feel any better. It seemed that there was nothing I coulddo but phone for a doctor. One of our neighbors happened to be with us. He was not a doctor, but he timidly (膽怯地) offered his help, saying "Do you mind if I tried acupuncture on you? These needlesmay possibly do you some good." I agreed. In a moment, he had taken out a few needlesfrom his small case. Without a moments delay, he fixed a few needles into the skin on myhead here and there. Before long, I felt thoroughly relieved. Just then, the doctor sped through my house and said, "Where is our patient?" "Sorry, Doctor. You are too late. Its killed!" I answered in delight. It is a miracle, isnt it?
